Frau1080 fan favoritesExternal profileHeight: 198 cm Weight: 84 kg Blood Type: A Currently Wants: Premium collection of photos of Jessica-chan Favorite: Spirytus Crown Jewel (gin) Must-have: Cigarette (Labrador's speciality) Dislikes (Animals Difficult to Deal with): Rats A perverted Bishop. He saves Teito's life when Teito falls from his hawkzile. He is the member of the 07-Ghosts known as 'Zehel'. He finds Burupya for Teito and accidentally becomes Teito's 'Master' when he attempts to remove Teito's slave collar. For all his teasing, Frau also keeps Teito's spirits up with impromptu pep-talks. Because of this, Teito sometimes make associations between Frau and his late 'Father'. Frau also has a good relationship with Hakuren, having taken him on as his 'porn disciple'. His relation with Ayanami is as of yet unknown. Frau was adopted by the church and became Bastian's disciple when he was caught in the large scale 'thief subjugation' across the empire. All of his friends died, and he didn't believe in God, but nevertheless he was so powerful with Zaiphon that it was rumored he was a child blessed with God's strength. While Frau was a wild child, constantly getting into trouble, he and Bastian ended up having a good relationship. He has a cross-shaped tattoo on the small of his back. Frau's favorite food is meat, and his most hated food is mice. His favorite color is black. (Sources: Zero-Sum Characters Profiles 2010, Wikipedia)
Teito Klein639 fan favoritesExternal profileThe protagonist of the story. A former slave captured by the Barsburg Empire and considered to be the military academy's star pupil. His homeland is the former Kingdom of Raggs, and he was raised as an orphan in a church. It is later revealed that Teito had been entrusted with the Eye of Mikhail when the Empire invaded his home country, and he is the son of the former king of Raggs. At the start of the manga, Teito makes a promise with his best (and only) friend, Mikage, that they would die together. Unfortunately, Mikage gives up his life to save Teito from the Empire. Teito, shaken, swears revenge even though Mikage told him not to. At the 7th District church he starts studying to become a priest, so he can gain a priest's advantages on his way to revenge -- free room and board in any inn in the Empire, and less stringent inspections at borders. However, along his way he gets mixed up in the affairs of the Gods because of the Eye of Mikhail, and this eventually brings him grief. Teito has a slave tattoo on his back from when he was first captured, and wears a slave collar around his neck, put there by Ayanami, that will explode if he gets separated from Frau, the collar's master, for 48 hours. His birthday is the first of December, his blood type is O, he's 159 cm tall, and he weighs 43kg. His favorite food is macaroni gratin, his favorite drink is melon soda, and his favorite color is sky blue. (Source: Wikipedia)

Ayanami256 fan favoritesExternal profileAge: 34 Height: 178 cm (in the anime he is 183cm) Weight: 57 kg Blood type: B Favorite color: white Motto: "Justice without power is vain" (07-Ghost's official fanbook) The main antagonist. He is the man who killed Teito's 'Father' in the war against Raggs and seeks the Eye of Mikhail. His relationship with the 07-Ghosts is unknown, but it is later revealed that his soul is Verloren's soul. Verloren is the original owner of the scythe that is currently in Zehel's (Frau) possession. It is also revealed in the manga that the Seven Ghosts are made from Verloren's fragments. Ayanami is very dedicated to his profession as a soldier and to his country, willing to kill and die for what he believes in, and his nationalism is his main motive in his actions. He shares Field-Marshal Oak's view that the best way to protect Barsburg from losing its present territories is to find the Eye of Mikhail and let the Barsburg Empire keep it. The opinions and comments of other people hardly affect him and he does not change his behaviour or go out of his way in order to impress or please his superiors. Ayanami is strong-willed and never complains about pain or tiredness (despite the omake Begleiter revealing that he only gets 3 hours of sleep a day). He is quiet and always polite when speaking to others, rarely showing any facial expressions and always speaking in mono-tone. Despite being rather unemotional on the surface, Ayanami is aware of his subordinates' feelings (he comforted, and spoke softly to Kuroyuri when he/she cried) and well-being (he has asked himself countless times whether Yukikaze was happy being his Begleiter). He often prefers to be during his work quietly and alone, rather than attending meetings or dealing with the antics of his subordinates. Ayanami is very tidy and organised and likes to complete all his work quickly and to a high standard. He dislikes anyone who distracts him. Ayanami is very intelligent, being an excellent tactician as he organised many of the Military's attacks. He is also very patient, waiting 10 years till his plan to remove Admiral Ogi could finally be carried out, and is rarely caught off guard, only showing surprise when opponents are stronger than he originally thought. Ayanami has also been shown to be very cunning, being a master of manipulation, but has a tendency towards stubbornness. Ayanami doesn't trust people easily. Ayanami can be rather merciless when he feels the Barsburg Empire is being threatened. He tells Mikage that he will kill his sister if he does not reveal the whereabouts of Teito, who was considered a dangerous fugitive by the military. However it was shown that Ayanami was bluffing, and it appears that he is unwilling to use such violence against innocents, as even though Mikage refused to say anything, his sister was shown alive and unharmed. Whereas Ayanami is level-headed on the battlefield, he is quick to loose his temper and is not above using violence, mainly whipping or using zaiphon, to discipline his subordinates when they do stupid things to annoy him (Hyuuga being the only person who dares annoy Ayanami). Little is known about Ayanami's human past. It is known that he was born in to a family of nobles, but prior to the series they were cast out from the royal line for a yet unknown reason. Some elder officers mock Ayanami and his family for that and they tend to make things difficult for him. It is most likely that they are jealous of him due to the fact that he outranks them at such a young age, as they use phrases such as a 'brat', 'impertinent youth' and 'intolerable youngster' to describe him. In the manga, it seems that many soldiers in the army fear or dislike Ayanami and the Black Hawks because many people see Warsfiels as monsters. In one of the more lighthearted official doujinshis/omakes, Ayanami is shown trying to find a pet, but all the animals are afraid of him. He has shown a fondness and attachment towards animals, especially cats. (BUT it has been said that Ayanami has various pets, but all of them, except his leopards, are afraid of him.. Can't say what is true). Ayanami's uniform is more decorated than his subordinates, a major difference being that Ayanami has a peaked-cap which is trimmed with gold and has the Barsburg Military insignia in the centre. Ayanami is very fond of his military cap, and doesn't like to take it off- the reason is unknown. Trivia: - Labrador wishes for Ayanami to live his life as a human, which he says will make Ayanami's life happier. - Ayanami only drinks coffee for breakfast. He skips lunch. It is unknown how often he skips dinner. - Ayanami dislikes when people lie to him. - Ayanami is left-handed, yet uses his warsfiel and chopsticks with his right hand - possibly hinting that he is ambidextrous.
Hyuuga32 fan favoritesExternal profileBirth day: 8th of July Age: Presumably around the age of 34 Height: 192cm Weight: 80kg Hyuuga is one of Ayanami's subordinates holding the position as Major/Lieutenant Commander of the Black Hawks and often acts as Ayanami's bodyguard. Hyuuga is recognised by his tall stature, distinctive black sunglasses, eating of a candy apple (or lolly pop), and the light smile he almost always wears on his face. He is always joking, being silly and not acting seriously. Despite this, he is very skilled with the Katana (a Japanese sword) and almost uses it to perfection. Despite his far from serious attitude he is extremely loyal and caring to his superior Ayanami, once stating that "I will do anything for Aya-tan" and that Ayanami is his "one and only king". Despite his job as a soldier needing him to be strict and serious, Hyuuga is anything but that. He is a bit of a ditz, and views the world as being a big game and is rather frivolous in the fact that he never seems to take anything seriously. Hyuuga is playful, smiles a lot and is happy most of the time, even in life-threatening situations as he enjoys the thrill of fighting. He has a notably short attention span, is easily excited, and is easily distracted by new things, as shown when he interrupts an important conversation about the eye of Mikhail because he spots a bird and when he forgets his paperwork after seeing a new stamp. Hyuuga likes to joke around with his team mates and seems to delight in winding them all up, especially Ayanami. He is mischievous and enjoys pulling pranks and teasing his Begleiter, Konatsu. Hyuuga is notably cheeky when speaking to those of higher rank than him, he gave Ayanami the nickname Aya-tan. Hyuuga has been shown to have a habit of giving affectionate names for people he likes: addressing Kuroyuri as Kuro-tan. Hyuuga becomes easily attached to new people whom he is interested in, as shown by his quick acceptance of the Antwort twins, Haruse, Konatsu, and is friendly to those he meets. Hyuuga enjoys meeting new people and was the Black Hawk who first thought of recruiting Haruse (implying to Haruse that he should become Kuroyuri's Begleiter), Konatsu and the Antwort twins. Hyuuga could also be seen as quite stupid or naive. He is also quite lazy; he dislikes doing paperwork and is much happier to sit and do nothing, resulting in him getting shouted at for slacking off. Hyuuga sometimes has trouble waking up early- and as a result is sometimes late for work. He is also frequently shown yawning, and gets bored with things quickly. Hyuuga is able to do his paperwork when he is serious. Despite his intentions being well-meant, Hyuuga often annoys others due to his sometimes overly-friendly antics, as shown in some of his interactions with Ayanami (offering Ayanami his candy apple despite the fact that he had just been eating it a moment ago). Hyuuga is able to get away without punishment for offences that would have cost other soldiers their lives - using 'tan' to address Ayanami. ( The suffix 'tan' is normally reserved for small animals and children, and expresses that the speaker finds the person endearing, so the name would be demeaning when spoken to someone of a higher rank) However, since the omake Begleiter reveals that Ayanami doesn't like Hyuuga to call him that way, it is probable that Ayanami may have tried to punish Hyuuga at first, just that he has given up later because punishment won't work. As for why Hyuuga is not killed for that, possible reasons are that Ayanami doesn't want to lose a strong and loyal subordinate or a good friend. Hyuuga is often very cheery and jocular when around Ayanami and seems to take delight in seeing how far he can tease him before he reacts. In one of the Drama CDs Hyuuga is shown to be the one that wants to cheer Ayanami up and to be by Ayanami's side when he is sad, and he is the only Black Hawk that notices something is bothering Ayanami. Hyuuga is utterly devoted to serving Ayanami, values Ayanami's life above his own, and becomes easily annoyed when anyone speaks ill of him or wants to harm him. In the English translation of a chapter in the manga, Hyuuga has once said 'Nii Nii' when he talks with Ayanami, and since "nii" means elder brother, it could mean that he considers Ayanami to be like an older brother. (In the Chinese translation, what Hyuuga said to Ayanami was "Sweet dream", though.) Out of all the Black Hawks Hyuuga interacts with Ayanami the most. He was Ayanami's classmate when they were in the military academy, so he knows Ayanami for more time than other present Black Hawk members. Hyuuga is often the only person brave enough to enquire Ayanami's motives, whereas the other Black Hawks will follow Ayanami's orders without question. He is also the person who dares to do things like being late for work or escaping from work to annoy Ayanami. Despite Hyuuga's rebellious side, Ayanami trusts Hyuuga in the sense that he will give Hyuuga an answer when asked why he does something. He relies on Hyuuga to a certain extent, since sometimes he is not afraid to show weakness to him as he is the other Black Hawks. In the drama CD, Ayanami somehow softens or lets his guard down when Hyuuga mentions Yukikaze and tries to cheer Ayanami up. It seems that Hyuuga comes from a rich family or he is rich himself. In a side story in the manga, he is swindled twenty million yen for a pot that is said to have magic power to make his dream come true. When he found out that he has been cheated, he doesn't seem to care about the money lost. Trivia - Hyuuga wears his sunglasses even as he sleeps (see an omake). Hyuuga also keeps multiple pairs of sunglasses in his pocket in case one pair gets damaged during battle. - Ayanami's pet cats appear to dislike Hyuuga. - Hyuuga is supposedly the only person who has seen Ayanami sleeping. - Hyuuga has, or has made, an Ayanami doll (an omake in the manga).
Kuroyuri32 fan favoritesExternal profileGender: Male Birthday: 25th of September Age: Presumably between the ages of 8 and 10 Height: 149cm Weight: 37kg Blood type: O Meaning of name: Black-lily The youngest of Ayanami's subordinates. Usually seen with their Begleiter, Haruse. Kuroyuri's gender is actually a point of contention in the manga. In one omake panel, Konatsu asks for an answer. To this Kuroyuri replies 'It's a secret'. When Hyuuga presses them for an answer Kuroyuri snaps: 'do you want to die?' Kuroyuri has a strong belief that those who break the law need to be punished severely, and has a cat like habit of toying with their enemies similar to how a child plays with dolls. Kuroyuri also exhibits a steely determination and ruthlessness when doing something, and does not give up easily- adopting this trait after surviving from an incident in their childhood and becoming a person 'who refuses to die'. However like any other young child, Kuroyuri needs more hours of sleep than their older team mates, so is often found sleeping in the arms of Haruse. Kuroyuri is also a very heavy sleeper, and doesn't wake up when the people around are shouting- or fighting at each other. Despite Kuroyuri's formidable fighting ability, they are still a small child and as a result is easily upset when things do not go their way. Kuroyuri is very possessive of those they like and is easily upset when their friends are injured. Kuroyuri is fanatical about Ayanami, will do anything to protect him, and holds a great level of respect towards him. Kuroyuri was very upset, even offended, when they saw Frau using Ayanami's scythe. Ayanami is something of a parental figure to Kuroyuri, and comforts them when they cry. When Ayanami became injured, Kuroyuri was worried about him and was delighted to see him well again. Trivia: - Kuroyuri has no sense of taste, losing it when they were poisoned. - Kuroyuri has said that they have fallen in love with someone, but they don't have the courage to confess (first drama CD). - Kuroyuri hates waking up early in the morning (second drama CD).
Konatsu Warren11 fan favoritesExternal profileOne of the Black Hawks and Hyuuga's Begleiter. Prior to the 5th volume, he was the newest recruit, the second youngest member and the only Black Hawk who was not a Warsfeil. Konatsu is seen as the most sane of the Black Hawks, and is often stressed or irritated by the behaviour of his superior, Hyuuga. He is a hard-worker and always tries to do his work to a high standard. He is usually the sole voice of reason in the Black Hawks, and thinks everyone around him is very weird. The new member, Shuri, idolizes him, calling him "onii-sama". He is very naive and shy, and panics easily. According to Katsuragi, Konatsu has a "beautiful soul". He carries a bat with him almost all times, and uses it to release stress. Like Hyuuga, he carries two swords, but only uses one during combat. Similar to Kuroyuri, he likes the taste of candy which normal people would find disgusting (seen when he ate a candy and found it delicious, while it made Haruse and Hyuuga faint). However he does have a sense of taste, unlike Kuroyuri, and why he actually enjoys eating them is unknown. Unlike the rest of the Warren family, Konatsu does not possess Warsfeil. This resulted in him getting excluded by his whole family, except his grandfather. However, he makes up for his lack of black magic with his skills as a swordsman. Although he was able to graduate the military academy as the top student, he chose to apply for the Black Hawks instead to fulfill his dream of becoming a Warsfeil; as his grandfather had told him the Black Hawks' leader, Ayanami, was believed to be Verloren and could turn Konatsu into a Warsfeil if he were to become Ayanami's subordinate. Konatsu was rejected by the Black Hawks, and just when he was about to give up he saw Hyuuga practicing his sword in the academy's backyard. Hyuuga quickly recognized him and invited him to duel, saying he would give Konatsu his sword as a reward if he could lay a single finger on Hyuuga. Konatsu accepted the challenge, not knowing Hyuuga was a Black Hawk, and ended up losing quite badly, but unconsciously attempted to choke Hyuuga in his sleep, thus laying a "hit" on him. When Konatsu woke up, Hyuuga gave him not only his sword, but also an application to the Black Hawks for Konatsu to sign. Even though his original reason to become a Black Hawk was to become a Warsfeil, Konatsu has not become one, as he thought what he wanted would be useless if it was given to him by someone else. Unlike the others, he hasn't given half of his soul to Ayanami either. (Source: 07-Ghost Wikia)
Haruse2 fan favoritesExternal profileKuroyuri's subordinate. He is very quiet and only speaks when he is spoken to. He is always polite while speaking to those of a higher rank and is quite self-conscious about how they see him. He is optimistic, naive and very kind, particularly to children. In the manga, he always wears a smile on his face, though he shows very little facial expression in the anime. (Source: 07-Ghost Wikia)
