Synopsis

Mashiro-hime has just transferred to the all-girls school, Garderobe...but little do the other students know, she's actually a boy. Desperate to escape an all-boys school where he was looked down upon, he disguised himself as the late Mashiro-hime to get in. Unfortunately, due to "her" royal status, members of an organization known as Shwarz are trying to assassinate him, and all the while, he's trying to break his Contract with Arika Yumemiya, who unexpectedly became his Otome to protect him from a member of Shwarz. Arika is the protagonist of the series My-Otome. She is first introduced in the first episode where she travels through the desert to Windbloom to find out more information about her mother, whom she was told was an Otome. After seeing the power of the 3rd Column, Shizuru, she decides to follow her mother and become an Otome. She is sometimes nicknamed Anty (Arinko-chan in Japanese) because her name, Arika, could be "蟻か" in Japanese, which means ant. The way her head turns into an ant's head is a way to show how she feels when someone calls her this nickname (which must have followed her all her life). She is cheerful and optimistic, but lacks the sophistication and "common sense" to deal with the royalty (due to her being a country bumpkin). She quickly gets acquainted with the other Corals and Pearls in Garderobe and becomes good friends with most of them, mainly Nina Wáng and Erstin Ho, her roommates. (Source: Wikipedia)

Nina Wáng the top student in the Coral class and also one of Arika's roommates. She hails from Artai, a poorer kingdom than Windbloom with no Otome of its own. She and Nao are intended to fill this void and serve their country after graduating. Her father is Sergay Wáng , Nagi's right-hand man who is also part of the military. Arika found out that Nina was very sensitive to being tickled, which she enjoys exploiting. Nina is serious, determined and hard working because she wants to win the love of her adoptive father Sergay. Nina holds mixed feelings towards Arika. She is jealous of Arika's connections with Sergay and often annoyed with her cluelessness, but she shows friendship towards her on occasion. Both Arika's and Nina's roommate. During the series's first episodes, Erstin mostly served as a bridge between the clumsy and spontaneous Arika, and the introverted and obstinate Nina, thus the trio became close friends, but she hides a dark secret that can shatter this friendship. Erstin harbors romantic feelings for Nina which was most evident in episode 6. During a pool scene, a creature was swimming around tickling the girls. Erstin thought it was Nina who was behind her and told her that if it's her, she's fine with it. Erstin quickly acquainted herself with Arika Yumemiya and didn't hesitate to help her in the best ways possible. She comforted Arika who at the time was being plagued by thoughts about her love towards Sergay. Erstin herself knew she wasn't as strong as Nina or Arika, so she did her best to support them in the best ways possible. During episode 16, Erstin found out that Tomoe Marguerite was responsible for the many strange accidents that Arika was suffering from. When Tomoe was about to drop acid on her, Erstin shoved Arika out of the way and took the shot and fortunately suffered minor injuries. Strangely enough, she did not speak out. (Source: Wikipedia)
