Synopsis

After years of putting up with Takagi's teasing, Nishikata came to realize that her presence in his life had become irreplaceable. Now married, the days they spend together are more vibrant than ever, thanks to the antics of their mischievous daughter, Chii. Influenced by her mother, Chii has a habit of pulling pranks on her father, much to his dismay. Although Chii tries to trick her mother as well, it appears that no one in the family can beat the expert teaser at her own game. Even if the teasing competition within the Nishikata household seems never-ending, it is undeniable that their playful interactions have created precious memories for the family, and will continue to do so. Academically talented and physically capable, she claims her only weaknesses are her ticklish armpits and her inability to stop teasing Nishikata. From when she first met him, during the first class of the day of the school's entrance ceremony, she has spent much of their time together pranking him, teasing him, and challenging him to unwinnable games. She seems entirely in control of her emotions in every situation she is in, contrasting starkly with Nishikata. Beyond her academic and teasing talents, she has the uncanny ability to guess exactly what Nishikata is thinking, so long as she doesn't try to embarrass him by suggesting that he was dreaming up something dirty, or by making a silly face which inspires instant laughter in everyone who has seen it.

Naive and easily embarrassed, he quickly falls victim to Takagi-san's teasing, but his constant failure hasn't broken his drive to get back at her one day. Though he dedicates considerable effort to devising plans to beat Takagi-san, his training and scheming never seem to achieve anything, and Takagi-san always appears to be one step ahead of him in every challenge he presents her with.
