About this title

Synopsis

In this school fantasy story set in the distant future, creatures contaminated by pollution have overtaken the land, forcing humanity to live in isolated mobile cities called Regios. One such city named Zuellni is a self-contained school in which freshman Layfon Alseif has just enrolled. Layfon reluctantly joins the 17th Martial Arts Studies Unit led by the third-year student Nina Antalk and embarks on a series of adventures. This version recounts a slightly different version of Layfon's story. Here, Felli is the main character. Same world settings as the original novel.

A second year Military Arts student in the Academy City of Zuellni & the Psychokinesist for the 17th platoon. Felli is the younger sister of the Student Council President, Calian Loss. Because of her high level telepathic abilities, Calian forced her to join the Military Arts section against her will, as such she resents her brother and is rather reluctant to fight, not putting much effort into battles. She takes a liking to Layfon because, like her, the strength of his powers aren't normal, and he was forced into the Military Arts against his will as well. Despite her calm demeanor she is prone to physically abusing her brother or Layfon with kicks to the shins, should they anger or embarrass her. She calls Layfon by the nickname "Fonfon", and demands of him to in return call her Felli (without honorifics). Her powers consist of manipulating the petal-like segments of her Dite which she can use for searching, communication, and offense if necessary. Like most psychokinesists the massive amounts of information constantly entering her mind is too much for her to handle, resulting in her inability to make facial expressions except on rare occasions.

Previously a Heavens-Blade wielder, a title given only to the twelve most capable fighters of the Lance Shelled City of Glendan, Layfon transferred to the Academy City of Zuellni in hopes of leaving his violent past behind.The main protagonist of the series. In the novel, he is described as having tea-colored hair and blue eyes. He was one of the twelve wielders of the Heaven Blades and also held the title of Wolfstein at the age of ten. He and Leerin were found by Derek during their early childhood and taken to the orphanage in Grendan. Due to Derek's inability to earn enough money (because of his old age and the fact that he had retired from the battlefront), Layfon decided to earn money fighting in matches in order to provide for themselves and the other orphans. He began to participate in illegal underground matches to earn even more money for the orphanage.

In order to keep the 17th platoon from being dissolved, she recruited Layfon after he was forced into the Military Arts section by Karian. She is formerly from a rich household from a different city. However, she escaped that city, because she felt like there were other things out in the world that she had to protect. So, she ran away. She supports herself by working along with Layfon. She is a powerful fighter who considers weakness a sin. When she was younger, she was almost killed because of saving a young infant fairy. Thankful because of her, the head fairy sacrificed herself in order to save Nina. Therefore, she seeks power to protect the weak.
