Synopsis

Thousands of years ago the God of destruction, Enka, died saying thats its child would destroy the world.Thousands of years later the potential children of Enka are found (some human, some not) and take part in the Peaceful Family Operation in order to discover who the true child of Enka is and stop them from destroying the world by teaching them the importance of family love. The novels depict the not-so-normal life of a "family" that includes a catgirl "mother," a lion "son," a living land-combat android weapon "son," a jellyfish-like otherworldly "daughter," and a hapless 27-year-old military officer as their "father." This motley "family" was assembled as part of the Imperial Japanese Anti-Paranormal Phenomena Section's Special Operations Forces to save Earth in 2063. (Source: ANN)

Her real name is 'Kyoukya Eaeriaea (キョウキァ＝エアエリアエア)', and she used to be worshiped by the people of an underground kingdom named 'Shangri-la', however, she ran away because she felt something missing from her life. Due to her past of being worshiped, she has very arrogant and destructive nature, but despite her personality, she is actually very caring about her family. He also works at local okama bar 'Virgo' under the name of 'Silver Fox' (ぎんぎつね). He was originally a member of yakuza clan named Kizakura, but ran away when a girl he loved was killed by his family. His original name is Ginichi Kizakura (黄桜銀一). He once met Chika in person long time ago, and made a promise with her which eventually leads her to join the Midarezaki family.

She is a jellyfish; however, she is able to do things that are unusual for a normal jellyfish such as writing letters or changing her body's color according to her feelings. The sub-director of Supernatural Phenomenon Treatment Bureau's operation department went fishing, caught her and DNA-tested her for fun, and it turned out that a mere jellyfish actually has Enka's DNA, so she became a member of 'Peacefule Family Operation'. Her real name and exact age is unknown. Occasionally a dark-haired female with crescent-shaped insignia, dressed in a manner of Heian period, appears in the book, and it is believed by some family members that she is Gekka.

Formerly known as Senko Himemiya (姫宮千子, Himemiya Senko), she is Yūka's biological sister and is the last one to join the Midarezaki family. She was the former 'Solitary Doll' before Yūka was born. After Yūka became the next 'Solitary Doll', she tortured her in various ways and even gave money to her classmates to bully her. However, she remembered the promise with Ginichi Kizakura, now Ginka Midarezaki, and regrets her wrongdoings. She actually doesn't have Enka's DNA, but she becomes a member of 'Peaceful Family Operation' by Kyōka's ability.

The main protagonist and the 'father' of Midarezaki family who originally was forced to participate in Peaceful Family Operation. Ouka can be described as sensible and collected, however, he is often teased and mocked by Kyōka. When in extremely stressful or dangerous situations, he will pull a handgun he carries, once even pulling it on himself. He is also the head of the operation department of 'Supernatural Phenomenon Treatment Bureau' (超常現象対策局). Ouka lost his parents at age of three, and has no memory before then. He was raised by the Bureau, and was taught not to love anything or anyone. Despite this, Ouka eventually learns to love the family he was assigned to watch over.
