Synopsis

She calls herself Eris and claims she is an alien, (though people claim she doesn't look it) and has obvious feelings for Kio Kakazu, a native of Okinawa. She wears a powersuit which gives her unbelievable strength and is able to wield special non-lethal weapons. Coming from the planet Catia, Eris is sent to Earth as an investigative ambassador, to study Earth culture and determine if Earth is ready to join the galactic community. Arriving on the island of Okinawa, Eris soon collapses from hunger, as she was so exited about going to Earth, she forgot to bring any food with her. Told about a place where she can get food by a cat named Aria, she comes across a memorial party where she's introduced to Okanowin cuisine and Kio. Eris' personality is bubbly and carefree, with a sweet naivete that both frustrates and endears those around her. At the same time though, she' still a competent officer and has great knowledge on various subjects. After the chaos surrounding Eris' arrival calms down, she quickly becomes friends with Aoi and Manami, appointing them as the Catian Embassy's security force, though she's oblivious to their common feelings for Kio. Eris is closest to Kio Kakazu, who she first met at a memorial party for Kio's great-great grandfather. With Eris' overly friendly demeanor and Kio's penchant for helping anyone in trouble, the two bond quickly, with Eris lavishing Kio with open affection almost from the day they meet. She even goes as far as choosing Kio as her partner for her first mating season, a rarity for catians serving in space, especially considering that the vast majority of Catia's population is female.

Aoi is a teenage girl who worked for the Immigration Bureau of Japan as one of their top agents before helping save Eris. When the Immigration Bureau orders her to "dispose" of Eris and Kio, she chooses instead to save Eris so she wouldn't lose the one person (Kio) who made her feel like an ordinary girl. She has an ability called "Aport" which allows her to teleport anything to her (usually guns) within 50m of her, and because of this bizarre power, she was subsequently abandoned by her parents at a young age, leaving her to grow up on as she says "the other side of society". Her feelings for Kio are obvious to everyone except for Kio himself and Eris, though she has little confidence in herself to successfully pursue Kio, mostly due to her bloody past and chest size. Her greatest fear is that Kio might reject her if he ever found out the full details of her past in the Immigration Bureau. Her main hobby is collecting old and obscure movies, which is also how she ended up meeting Kio.

A tomboy, childhood friend, and next door neighbor of Kio. Since she was young she wanted to join the CIA, where her room is filled with listening equipment and guns. She was in the CIA recruitment program operating under the supervisor codenamed JACK, but believes she lost this after helping rescue Eris so lives at the Cathia Embassy. She has feelings for Kio, but believes he sees her as just one of the guys, so roots for Aoi to get him before "that alien steals him away". She wears a watch with a noticeable scratch on it. After moving into Kio's house, her dormant feelings for him begin to resurface, especially after realizing that the only reason Kio treated her like one of the guys was because he was under the mistaken impression that Manami had a boyfriend named "JACK" that he would overhear her talking on the phone to sometimes. Manami has a personal asisstroid named Yun Fat (most likely named after Cho Yun Fat). He has black hair, as opposed to the usual reddish-orange, wears a black suit and a pair of sunglasses with a cigarette, and attacks with a pair of energy pistols.

A kindhearted, yet sophisticated teenage boy, Kio is able to accept easily the proof that his new friend is an alien, and that both his other friends are secret agents. He knows how to handle firearms, though he isn't sure what business his Uncle Yuichi is in to have them. He displays a strong sense of justice, and is willing to take action when he feels it's needed. This sense, and his treatment of others, draws the attention of his female friends. He is unsure about his reaction to all that interest, and their attention begins to cause complications for Kio. Eris the Catian in particular has decided that she wishes to be his mate as she is about to come in to her first mating season. In school, he's a member of the sci-fi movie club, and has a great interest in old movies.
