1LDK, Soshite 2JK. began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou and Kakuyomu under the title Futari no Joshikousei to Salaryman, 1LDK de 3-ningurashi wo Hajimemashita (2人の女子高生とサラリーマン、1LDKで3人暮らしをはじめました) on July 13, 2019. Kadokawa released a revised and illustrated version of the series from December 20, 2019 to February 20, 2021 under its Fantasia Bunko label. The Fantasia Bunko release has a different ending to the original web novel.
