Synopsis

Kinjiro Sakamachi is a "normal" seventeen-year-old boy who happens to suffer from an abnormal fear of women, otherwise known as gynophobia. His phobia, which surfaces as an occasional nosebleed, has been kept more or less under control...until now. A fateful visit to the school bathroom turns Kinjiro's world upside down, as he discovers the dashing and popular Konoe Subaru is actually a girl?! What's worse, the principal's cruel and domineering daughter, Kanade Suzutsuki, has every reason to keep this secret from leaking out, and makes it her life's work to torment Kinjiro, while attempting to cure his gynophobia. Is Kanade simply sadistic or does she really want to help Kinjiro overcome his fears? It makes no difference to poor Kinjiro, because his life has just become a living hell. Age: 16-17 Height: 168 cm (5'6") The single daughter of the high school's principal, who, on the outside, behaves well like a rich man's daughter. On the inside, she is revealed to be quite sadistic and threatens Kinjirō on his greatest fear and using his gynophobia to make him suffer. She is shown to enjoy tormenting and teasing Kinjirō by using his gynophobia against him. However, she did give thoughts about finding a way to cure his gynophobia although her methods to do so are generally overly complicated or humilate him in some way and she does not deny that she finds them amusing. Age: 16-17 Height: 176 cm (5'9) The protagonist of the story. A second year high school student who discovers Konoe's secret. He suffers gynophobia in which his nose bleeds whenever a girl touches him, he reveals the cause to be his mother and sister practicing their wrestling moves on him on a daily basis for 10 years, he states his nose bleeds when a girl touches him because his body developed the reflex because he believed his mother and sister would stop beating him up once he started bleeding (as his blood would ruin the carpet). As a result can take pain well due to his everyday awakening from his sister, Kureha Sakamachi, with a series of beatings. He was forced to sign a contract with Kanade Suzutsuki to not reveal the secret of Subaru Konoe and find a way to cure his gynophobia. He hates it when people call him his full name as, due to the Japanese culture of putting the familiy name before their given name, it creates a pun on the english word chicken as his full name is Sakamachi Kinjirō. (Source: Wikipedia) [spoiler] In the Last 3 volumes of the Light novels, Kanade, Konoe, and Masamune all confess to Jirou (separately) and as the three life as neighbors (Kanade and Konoe in one apartmant, and Masamune and Jirou in the one next to them). The girls decide to set a time limit until school started again in about a month to decide to cure Jirou's gynophobia and to show who would be the most suitable canidate. Jirou decides to confess again to Konoe. She decides its best to give up as Kanade's butler, and tell the whole school she is a girl. This leads to Jirou deciding to propose to Konoe and propose to become Kanade's butler. The novel's end with Jirou as Kanade's butler and Konoe's fiancee.
