Synopsis
After Yi "Shioon" Shi-Woon's master, Goomoonryong, breaks his ki-center, leaving him unable to use his martial arts, he decides to leave the world of Murim and continue on with his normal life: going to school and coming home to his mother every day. However, Murim has other ideas. Discovered as the only true disciple of Goomoonryong and entrusted with the Phoenix Medallion of the Sunwoo Clan by Lady Sosul—making him the interim leader of the Sunwoo Clan—the world of Murim is not so eager to let Shioon leave. With his new status, enemies Shioon has never encountered before keep appearing before him, such as the organization known as Soldiers Under Command. However, following a plane crash which resulted in her mother's death, her maternal grandfather took her in. She was trained in the Sun-Woo Clan's martial arts, and is said to be amongst the top five for her skills. At the start of New Waves, she is guarding Shi-Woon from other Schools that want to exact revenge on him for actions committed by the Nine Arts Dragon. After Shi-Woon is introduced to the four elders of the Sun-Moon Clan, she is transferred into the Nine Arts School where many believe she is a delinquent due to her red hair and mannerisms. Although she is meant to protect Shi-Woon, her grandfather has stated to her that she should not interfere in any attacks until he is half-dead as to inspire fear in Shi-Woon, making him an easier puppet to control. She gradually develops feelings for Shi-Woon. After she runs away from the Sun-Woo Clan, Jin-Ie was discovered by Ji-Woo Li, one of the leaders of S.U.C. who killed her cat, but was saved by Joon-Ho Yang who later finds her a job at a maid café with Ji-Gun Yoo's help, much to her chagrin. She had initially gained a grudge against Shi-Woon Yi because Goomoonryong had killed her grandfather until today, where the two are friends-in-arms, and love interest of Shi-Woon Yi. She is a young, slender girl with ears that stick out of her long, black, straight hair. She is often wearing formal attire. Other clothing she had worn would be general clothing, whether it'd be a long or short-sleaved shirt with shorts or skirts. In her initial introduction with her meeting with Shi-Woon, the latter had remarked his first impressions of her to be "a very beautiful, kind-looking young lady." She has a very forward personality and with her expression-less face, it is hard to determine what her true intentions are. Sometimes, she may be seen wearing glasses, generally and probably for reading intentions, as seen when doing paperwork or helping teach Shi-Woon.
