Synopsis

This time, subsequent to the story that wrapped up in Volume 9, is the release of a wondrous "side story"! In response to the many sorrowed voices, the author Asano Atsuko proclaimed, "Then I'll write a supplementary story!" The author herself, recalling her love for the characters, is blazing with ambition at being able to give further life to Shion and Nezumi, who hold such complexity and unfathomable fascination. Cutting out moments from the lives of Nezumi and Shion that she hadn't been able to touch on before, she starts to unravel their secrets...

Date of birth: unknown As he is the same age as Shion he was presumably born in 2001. (Age 16) Blood type: O Height: 178 cm (5'10") Weight: 63 kg A fugitive who is on the run from the police after escaping from prison. He sneaks into Shion's house after being shot. Nezumi gets treated and sheltered by him for a night, then disappears without a trace in the morning. He hates No.6 and appears to know something about the city that no one seems to know. Appearance He has dark blue hair and wears it in a short, but visible ponytail, leaving his fringe and strands of hair hanging at the sides of his face. His eyes are a light grey. In episode 2 of the anime, he wears a cloak with a hood (made of superfiber) which he soon took off to cover the enemy's eyes temporarily before holding a knife to his chin. He also used it to cover Shion and himself when they jumped out of a car(also in episode 2). He noted that he is taller than Shion, to which Shion agrees due to it being a valid fact. He wears grey pants (he tucks in the left side into a boot and the other is left as is and appears tattered), a dark green jacket with multiple pockets and a notably big scarf around his neck. He has a fairly muscular body. When he was 12 years old, his hair was slightly shorter than when he turned 16 and he left it down. He wore a gray over-sized shirt with a wide collar and a pair of dark gray shorts. His weight was 37.1 kg and his height was 145.3 cm. Personality Nezumi is a rude and straightforward person. Birthday: September 7, 2001 Height: 170 cm (5'7") Weight: 54 kg Blood type: AB Shion is a main character in the manga and anime No.6. He is kind and understands people. He doesn't seem amazed by No.6 even though he lives there. He also feels that something about the city is weird, that something just feels wrong. Shion has a generally pleasant sort of face. Initially, he had brown hair and violet eyes. When he was 12 years old, he used to wear a white shirt with a light turquoise button up sweater vest over it, light brown trousers, dark brown shoes and his No. 6 ID bracelet on his left wrist. He is shorter than Nezumi. He wears black trousers and a red coat with a hood. On the inside he wears a white collared shirt and a light turquoise sweater over it. Shion is a kind and gentle person. He has an amazing IQ level, proven by his acceptance into the Special Course Though grateful for No. 6, he seems to have a slight doubt about it and the whole system, as noted by Nezumi. He is insecure about many things including his slender body and loves his mother very much. Inukashi, otherwise known as Dogkeeper, is one of the denizens who live outside No.6. Raised by a dog, they now run a hotel where they rent out dogs to the tenants, allowing them to keep warm in the winter. They also engage in an information trade. They have a strong bond with dogs, particularly the dog that was their mother, going as far as to try to kill anyone who would insult her memory. Though their relation with Nezumi is antagonistic on the surface, the two have come a little closer since Shion has appeared. Inukashi's gender is kept ambiguous throughout the series.
