About this title
Synopsis
The plot centers around a Grail War faultily copied from the Third Holy Grail War in Fuyuki. After the end of the third Grail War, an organization from the United States that has magi separate from the London-based Mage Association as members took data from Fuyuki's Grail War and planned their own ritual. After seventy years, they used the city Snowfield as the Sacred Land for their own Grail War. They were unable to successfully copy every aspect of the ritual, which lead to it acting only as an imitation that has lost the Saber class and allowed for the summoning of strange Servants due to the definition of a "hero" being blurred. Gilgamesh16111 fan favoritesExternal profileHeight: 182 cm (6'0") Weight: 68 kg Armament: armor Likes: himself, power Dislikes: snakes Famous quote: "'All the evils in the world'? Bring thrice as much if you want to stain me!" An arrogant, selfish, and enigmatic Archer-class Servant. He appears familiar with Fuyuki City and claims to have a past relationship with Saber. Typically clad in an ornate golden armor, he possesses an immense number of Noble Phantasms, though none are representative of his true identity. Gilgamesh is the great half-god, half-human king born from the union between the King of Uruk, Lugalbanda, and goddess Rimat-Ninsun. He ruled the Sumerian city-state of Uruk, the capital city of ancient Mesopotamia in the B.C. era. He was an ultimate, transcendent being so divine as to be two thirds god and one third human, and no others in the world could match him. He was a despot possessing high divinity who believed he was invincible. He is not merely a legend, and is said to have actually existed and ruled during the Sumer Dynasty five thousand years ago. He was the King of Heroes who possessed all things in the world, whose tale is recorded in mankind's oldest epic poem, the Epic of Gilgamesh which portrays Gilgamesh as a hero, destined to be king and achieve great feats, who is driven to meet his destiny, facing challenges together with his best friend Enkidu. His title, King of Heroes, is not meant to call him a king who is a hero, but instead implies that he is the king over all heroes. He is mankind's oldest hero, the origin of all myths and model on which heroes are based, so his story is copied within the mythologies of all the countries of the world. The heroes of various myths are derived from his legend, so his Gate of Babylon possesses all of their Noble Phantasms. Though there are several heroes holding the title of "King," the King of Knights and King of Conquerors, he is the only one in all of heaven and earth crowned with the title of "King of All Heroes." In Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA, he's the Heroic Spirit sealed into the eighth Class Card. He manifests as his younger self due to Illya separating him from his shadow form half-way through his incarnation. While initially an adversary, he quickly becomes an ally to fulfill his objectives. Gilgamesh in his child form has a more easygoing attitude compared to his adult self. He asks Illya to call him Gil-kun.
Enkidu533 fan favoritesExternal profileEnkidu is known to be Gilgamesh's only true friend. Much like Gilgamesh, it regards their friendship highly. While it currently has a humanoid form, it is not a human but is actually a living mud creature sculpted by the gods of the ancient past. Enkidu is neither male nor female, merely a monster made of clay that descended onto the earth and appeared in the forest. It seems to greatly appreciate nature, and it finds it a relief that the world is still beautiful even after being covered by cities like Uruk. Enkidu is happy to sit while its Master is resting and simply allow itself to enjoy the magnificent natural landscape and the "song of the river." Even when dealing with the person who hurt its Master, it speaks serenely in a polite manner. Enkidu's might is far beyond human comprehension, and Gilgamesh considers it to be his only equal in the world. It has a connection with nature, and it can speak in an animal language (獣の言葉) that allows it to understand, communicate with, and translate the "words" of its Master and other animals. Ayaka Sajou57 fan favoritesExternal profileAyaka is the archetype version of Shirou Emiya who was to be the protagonist of the original Fate/stay night novel that was never finished. She would have an insecure personality and hold a negative view of herself. Unlike her older sister Manaka, who was regarded as a genius at magecraft, she would only have mediocre skills causing her to develop an inferiority complex towards her. She would come from a line of magi and be aware of the upcoming Holy Grail War and her expected participation in it, as opposed to Shirou who was orphaned and largely unaware of the world of magecraft. She would refuse to take part in the War however due of the deaths of both her father and sister in the previous War. Much in the same way as Shirou, she would end up joining the War summoning Saber (a male archetype of Fate/stay night's Saber) to protect herself, just as Lancer was making the killing blow against her. At some point during the War she would catch the eye of Archer (himself an archetype of Gilgamesh) and be proposed to, causing him to view Saber as his rival. She would eventually lose Saber as her Servant to Sancraid Phahn, Master of Berserker. Lancer, who at this point would lose his Master to a curse on her, would form a contract with Ayaka to save Saber. She would also be poisoned, with Archer taunting Saber with the cure leading to a climatic fight between the two. As the story was left incomplete to be rewritten as Fate/stay night, the fate of Lancer is unknown as well as what took place with her inevitable encounter with her now resurrected sister Manaka, 1st Master of the War and Master of the Beast. While not to the obsessive degree of her sister, she views her Servant Saber as her Prince and ideal protector. She has a cameo in Fate/school life as an ordinary student at Shirou's school. Flatt Escardos57 fan favoritesExternal profileHe is the Master of Berserker in the Holy Grail War in Snowfield. A student at the Clock Tower, the greatest school backed by the Magic Association, he is overcome by a great desire to go see the Holy Grail in Snowfield. While he is talented, he lacks the proper disposition to be a Magus. His teacher is Lord El-Melloi II.
Assassin35 fan favoritesExternal profileSummoned by Jester Karture as an Assassin in the fake Holy Grail War in Snowfield. She is a former candidate for the position of Hassan-i Sabbah, the pseudonym shared by the leaders of the League of Assassins, the Hashshashin. She was known a particularly faithful girl in a certain country whose existence is referred to as "merely a story." She underwent intense training to earn herself a name, and she was pious to the point in attempting to prove her faith that she was labelled as a "zealot" with despise by even those who worshiped the same God. While their group could be called a company of fanatics, her convictions were so beyond the norm that they earned her that title. She did not hate those who disparaged her because she believed the reason she was despised was because of her own immaturity and that her conviction was not firm. She wished to become the sect's leader, which required that she acquire power that could be called Divine Miracles. These Miracles had some unique specifications in that they must all quickly and reliably snuff out the lives of heretics and infidels. The leaders in the past obtained their titles by achieving numerous miracles worthy of bearing the name of the Fallen Angel in the form of Zabaniya, so she continued her mad pursuit of self-improvement incessantly, seeking the miracles that were achieved by her predecessors. She recreated them one by one, but the World seemed to only shout "Still not enough" at her without pause. The other members were shocked by her achievements to the point where they could not believe what had happened. While she had achieved the miracles of all eighteen leaders in the past, no one in the sect acknowledged her right to inherit the leadership. It was her proof, soaked in blood and sweat, and she knew better than everyone what it really took to reach that point. The faithfuls began to shun her, telling her that "What you achieved is no different from making copies of old tomes. You have not achieved your own Miracle, because there is still immaturity within you." While she did lack the ability to innovate, their denial was only half of the reason. They feared her, she who learned all of those techniques in the span of a few years. Their final reasoning was that "You are still too young. We cannot have someone like you bearing the title of our leader.", and although it was filled with nothing but excuses, she obeyed without question. She simply questioned her own faith, and believed herself to be juvenile in having defiled the secret techniques of their past leaders. She did not blame anyone, but still continued the quest for her own secret technique. "The Hundred-Faced One," a man capable of resolving every single situation masterfully, eventually became the nineteenth leader, and upon recognizing his ability, Zabaniya: Delusional Illusion, was one she did not have, she was ashamed of her own immaturity rather than filled with envy. She did not fulfill anything in the end, nor did she receive any acknowledgement. She merely lived as a zealot, and she was not even allowed to be martyred for her faith. She spent her life meaninglessly until the end, but still bore the World no hatred. Still ashamed of her immaturity, she again dove into the whirlpool of faith because she has no emotions to allow her to bear a grudge. The only things she despised were the false idols of infidels, making her a zealot that no normal man could redeem. That is her whole story which merely disappeared into the abyss of history as that of another zealot, and while it should have ended there, it was reborn the instant when the zealot become the False Grail's chosen.
