About this title
Synopsis
The storyline continues several months after Weiß Kreuz Glühen. It follows Aya and Ken as members of an assassination team named Krypton Brand Side B in Great Britain. Weiß is no more. Of the original Weiß, only Ken and Aya have found their way into Side B. (Source: MU)

Growing up as an Orphan member, Yuki became very attached to Allison, the girl that helped take care of him. She tried to instill in Yuki that violence was wrong and that he should break the cycle. Orphan was at odds with a neighboring gang, Blue Eyes. It was while fleeing from the gang that Yuki, having stolen from them a large sum of money, found Aya lying on the street bleeding from a stab wound. Despite his injury, Aya defended Yuki, and, in return, Yuki talked Allison and Akagawa into bringing Aya back home with them to tend to Aya's wounds. Blue Eyes later attacked the Orphan hideout, but with Aya's help in showing the kids how to defend themselves, they survived, though Yuki's partner in the robbery was kidnapped. While attempting a rescue with Allison and Akagawa, Yuki was injured and nearly blinded and Allison was taken hostage. With Yuki's help, Aya defeated Blue Eyes and Yuki discovered that Orphan had been betrayed by Akagawa, who had killed Allison for not going along with his plans. So that Yuki could keep his promise to Allison not to kill, Aya killed Akagawa for Yuki. After the defeat of Blue Eyes, Aya left Yuki behind in New York to go to England to meet with Richard Krypton. After deciding to join the Side B team, Aya returned for Yuki, who agreed to join Side B to get even with those responsible for Orphan Drug and Akagawa's betrayal. Yuki is highly skilled with the computer and usually serves as the team communicator during missions. Krotznik in the Romanian territory of Transylvania. Chloe's story is currently unfolding in the Side B manga, so the reason he changed his name to Chloe is not yet known. Orphaned at a young age, Edward was adopted by a British family and moved to Great Britain where he went to private school. Because of his red hair and Transylvanian origin, Edward was tormented by his classmates, who called him a vampire and accused him of drinking human blood. He was befriended by a fellow student, Christine, also known as Chloe, who was from a wealthy family and stuck up for Edward when he was being bullied. It is assumed that Edward changed his name at some point to Chloe in honour of his friend. Not much else is known about Edward during this time other than his adoptive parents died and he worked in the school gardens to help offset the cost of school. Christine often told Edward that he smelled like the roses that he cared for. Edward reappeared as Chloe when he met Aya during a mission with Mihirogi in New York to assassinate the head of the gang, "Blue Eyes." Chloe's weapon is the "bite rose," or gabishi, a metal stiletto with a red rose curled around the shaft. The rose is able to release its petals, each of which turn into a small explosion. He also creates the "cage of cusp," a net made of rose vines that virtually cannot be cut with any weapon. Chloe's "companion" is Trabant, an owl, who acts as Chloe's messenger, delivering messages to those he needs to communicate with in private. Claiming that he wasn't instructed to kill a child, Free bundled Michel up and carried him back to Richard Krypton. Michel was raised at the Kryptonbrand castle and told the truth, that his parents had been killed by a man named Free, and that one day Michel would be able to meet him and decide if he would take revenge against Free for the murder of his parents. Michel got his chance during the first mission Side B carried out together as a full team. While investigating "orphan drug," an illegal drug being tested on street kids of New York, Free was found being held captive as a test subject for the drug. Side B was to kill Free if he was unmanageable. Michel was against their orders, demanding that Free's life be spared so he could at least ask Free why he saved Michel when he was a child. Side B subdued a violent and incoherent Free and brought him back, where Michel waited for his chance to speak with him. When Free woke, he had complete memory loss. It was Michel's devotion to Free that helped him recover. Michel's weapon is the "rabbit tail," an unbreakable rope. No voice actors have been added to this character. While investigating "orphan drug," an illegal drug that was tested on the street kids of New York, the Side B team found Free being held captive as a test subject for the drug. Free was incoherent and violent, and it was only through Michel's insistence that Free not be killed, that he was brought back to Kryptonbrand alive. Upon recovering from the effects of the drug, Free suffered a complete memory loss. Michel became devoted to Free, teaching him how to speak again and how to accomplish everyday tasks. Free became the sixth and final member of Side B. The bond of friendship between Free and Michel is strong and the two are rarely without each other, even on missions. Free is a highly skilled tarot card reader, often informing the team of future events with the flip of a single card.
