Synopsis

300 years after the Calamity War's end. The powers which ruled the Earth Sphere have been overthrown, giving way to new rulers of a new world, exhausted of battle. Meanwhile, far away on Mars, the sparks which threaten to ignite a new war have been struck... Our protagonist Mikazuki Augus, a member of the private security firm Chryse Guard Security (CGS), takes on a mission as bodyguard of Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a young girl who agitates for Chryse's independence from Earth. However, when the elite Gjallarhorn unit, charged with suppressing revolutionaries, raids CGS, its higher-ups deliberately use Mikazuki and the other boys as a decoy to cover their own retreat. Orga Itsuka, leader of the boys' squad, takes this abandonment by the adults as motivation to launch a full-fledged coup d'état. With orders from Orga to hold back Gjallarhorn, Mikazuki sorties in Calamity War-era scrap that CGS had been using as a generator—the Gundam Barbatos... (Source: Gundam.info)

Unit: ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Mikazuki is a calm and collected individual with a head for the big picture. He has an easygoing personality and is devoted to his comrades. He is cold-blooded to his enemies, fighting them, particularly Gjallarhorn, without any sense of honor. He is deeply loyal to his friend Orga Itsuka and steadfastly follows any order or request without question. On the other hand, due to his background as a child soldier, he has difficulty interacting with people outside of Tekkadan and has a limited understanding of girls and relationships. Also, he seems to favor violence whenever he comes across someone or something he perceives as a threat, regardless if said violence is actually called for. Mikazuki is the most experienced and the most capable mobile worker operator in CGS, thus he was assigned to pilot the Gundam Barbatos. He has received the Alaya-Vijnana System surgical treatment three times and survived. In mobile suit combat, Mikazuki prefers to fight in close range and is often seen using mace-type weapons. Although he has also used swords, guns, and cannons when required. Mikazuki can be reckless at times and has no qualms wrecking his Barbatos during battle. His excellent mobile suit piloting skills eventually earned him the nickname "Devil."

Orga is a leader among the boys of CGS, later known as Tekkadan. Naturally gifted as a commander and trusted implicitly by others, he strives to live up to their admiration. He's especially close to Mikazuki, who he's known since a very young age; their bond is closer than most blood brothers. His coup within CGS is launched to give the boys a place where they won't be betrayed anymore. He has undergone the Alaya-Vijnana System surgery, therefore, his skill and abilities are better than an average mobile pilot. His greatest strength, however, is not his ability to fight, but to lead. His personal charisma, along with his military genius, is what keeps Tekkadan moving forward. His ability to think outside of the box has saved him and his allies on multiple occasions, and that has earned him the respect of both friend and foe and has in one occasion, impressed a foe enough to become his friend. Despite having a rough childhood and never attending school, he is surprisingly fully capable of reading and writing, and more impressively, in two languages, unlike most children of his circumstances. Kudelia is a strong willed, courageous woman who is willing to risk her life to fighting for her ideals and protect those precious to her. She has a great love for Mars and its people, causing her to start Mar's bid for independence from Earth. Her sheltered life gave her a somewhat naive perspective about the suffering of the Martian people. It was only after traveling with Tekkadan did she develop a greater worldly understanding of the problems Martians suffered. Throughout her time with Tekkadan, she develops close bonds with the group, especially Mikazuki and Atra. She is very loyal to those who earn her trust, never doubting them and standing by their side. She is a pacifist by nature, always looking for the best solution with the least bloodshed. She aspires to be a symbol of hope for the people of Mars. Befitting her title as "The Maiden of Revolution", Kudelia has proven to be a very charismatic orator, capable of pacifying an entire Gjallarhorn fleet through her words alone, a feat that Mikazuki describes as "amazing".
