About this title

Synopsis

After the war, which lasted 70 years motivated through greed, the Song Dynasty took control and managed to unite China as one. Having made alliances with the Northern countries, there were no enemies left that could invade. With such peace in hand, the country has made much progress, but that time has worn out. With no enemies left to fulfill such greed, it was inevitable that it would befall upon the common people. However, a revolution has begun and the world will once again see change. 108 heroes gather under the Taiten-Gyoudou flag. A group of chivalrous thieves who travel the path to change the heavens. A new take on the Suikoden epic has begun.

The Kin Army Assistant Instructor of Martial Arts. He fights with spears and is known as a "beast." His nickname means "Leopard Child." He doesn't get along with Taisou and they often argue, even in the middle of battles. He also seems to have a weakness for cute things, such as Taisou's master. His loyalty to Oushin stems from when he was taken in as a child. He was sold into slavery when he was very young but ended up killing his owner. He was then found by a group of wild bandits, who took him in to raise him as a "beast". His "father" then betrayed and left Rinchuu as bait for Oushin's army. Oushin took him into custody, where he ended up taking Rinchuu to his house. Rinchuu, true to his beast-like nature, attacked him from behind; slicing his forehead. Oushin claimed that this era is to blame for children like Rinchuu and the wound was simply his punishment for letting it happen. Rinchuu couldn't understand why he was being taken care of since he had already betrayed Oushin by attacking him. He believed that people always betray each other. Oushin created a bigger wound over Rinchuu's, covering up the betrayal. He then tied up Rinchuu's hair, turning the "beast" into a "human." No voice actors have been added to this character. A 13-year-old orphaned girl who accidentally becomes involved with the Taiten-Gyoudou. Though she’s small and rather weak, she always tried to help her impoverished village. She did this for a while by impersonating a Taiten-Gyoudou warrior and doing meager tasks such as playing pranks on corrupt government officials or helping lost children find their way home. She meets Taisou when she “rescues” him from some bandits (though he wasn’t really in danger). He reveals her identity later on and gets her arrested, but then saves her and her village as well. Afterwards, Taisou literally drags her along with him against her will. In the later chapters, she volunteers to join the Taiten-Gyoudou as an apprentice. Suiren feels strongly about justice and is disgusted with China’s government. She becomes frustrated when she cannot do anything but watch evil things occur. In the manga, her reactions to Taisou’s and the Taiten-Gyoudou members’ antics provide comic relief. She also gets along well with Taisou’s “Master”. In chapter 24, the “Earth Beast” star chooses Suiren as its new host. No voice actors have been added to this character.
