Synopsis

─Would you like me to save you?─ Under a blooming cherry blossom, Odagiri Tsutomu encounters a beautiful girl dressed in Gothic Lolita fashion and holding a red paper umbrella. She is Mayuzumi Azaka, head of the Mayuzumi psychic investigation agency. Surrounded by a strong chocolate aroma, Odagiri became her assistant and got involved in several supernatural cases. She's particularly fond of chocolate, and won't eat something if it doesn't contain chocolate as well. She only accepts client's cases if she's interested or out of boredom. She is cold hearted and enjoys observing others' misfortune. Mayuzumi's supernatural powers are superior compared to the past generation of Mayuzumi Azakas. Her main ability is to connect with the dead, allowing her in particular to replay the scenes of murder that happened in the past in the place she stand. Her red paper umbrella acts as a medium to support her abilities. It has been stated that each generation of Mayuzumi Azakas is destined to be murdered. Odagiri Tsutomu is the narrator and protagonist of B.A.D. He harbors an oni in his stomach, which allows him to see into other's emotions and memories. After being saved by Mayuzumi Azaka, he works for her in the Mayuzumi's psychic detective agency. Despite his distaste in Mayuzumi's attitude, he is always seen by her side.
