Race: Artificial human (hinted), Half-Vampire (via Rachel in one time-loop), Human (formerly) Birthday: March 3 Height: 185 cm Weight: 78 kg Blood type: B Hobbies: Cooking Values: His silver bracelet Likes: Tentama udon Dislikes: Ghosts, the Novus Orbis Librarium Drive: Soul Eater The main protagonist of BlazBlue, also known as the Grim Reaper. After destroying countless branches of the NOL and killing two Saya replicas, he was labeled as the most wanted criminal and received the largest bounty in NOL history on his head. He possesses a powerful form of Armagus called the Azure Grimoire, which is often either the secondary or primary target of those after his bounty. His ultimate goal is to destroy the Library for unknown reasons, although it probably has something to do with the Saya replicas.

Race: Artifical Human Birthdate: December 25, 2194 Birthplace: 5th Hierarchical City of Ibukido (originally), Switzerland (raised in) Height: 157 cm Weight: 48 kg Blood type: AO Hobbies: Shopping via the internet (so she doesn't have to meet people), writing poems (never shows them to anyone) Values: Parents/Family Likes: Anything cute Dislikes: Bugs (especially ones with lots of legs) This young girl was found amidst the burning fields of Ikaruga where she was rescued, and then adopted by the family of Vermillion. It was because of her outstanding combat activity that she became a high-ranking member of the NOL using the Nox Nyctores "Arcus Diabolus Bolverk" revolver. She was made Jin's subordinate by the NOL, although Jin treated her poorly due to her resemblance of Saya. When Jin rushed off to hunt down Ragna without permission from the NOL, Noel was assigned to stop him and bring him back to his post at the Library. She is easily won over by small, cute animals (agreeing to be dressed up by Litchi if she could play with her panda, Lao Jiu, in one story path, and even shouts "Hands off the panda!" during battle with her) and has an inferiority complex with her bosom.

Age: Immortal (biologically her body is that of a 12 to 14 year old girl) Race: Vampire Birthday: October 31 Birthplace: Transylvania Height: 145 cm Weight: 31 kg Blood type: Unknown Hobby: teatime Values: time, her Meissen teacup Likes: sweet things (especially cake) Dislikes: being bored, bell peppers, tomato juice Rachel Alucard is the current head of the Alucard family, and a very powerful being. Rachel behaves like a stereotypical upper-class individual, often looking down upon others with boredom, arrogance, snobbery and apathy, and hates her vampire urges. She is seemingly one of the most powerful characters in the series to the point where she can 'keep up' with Terumi. Rachel can create a dimension called the Requiem which intersects with her dream world. She is always with her servants Nago and Gii and usually with her butler, Valkenhayn Hellsing. Both she and Valkenhayn seem to be the only characters who know that time was looping the Calamity Trigger a century before. She plays with the characters to push them forward to breaking the loop of time that is repeating itself. She has the Tsukuyomi Unit, a powerful Sankishin Unit which has, according to Rachel, an "absolute defense". The "absolute defense" takes the form of a golden shield which defends Kagutsuchi from a laser fired by the Nox Nyctores known as Take-Mikazuchi. In BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, an extremely bored Rachel spent much of her time trying to secretly direct characters from making the same mistakes over and over again and break the looping of time, but as she was an Observer, she could do nothing but stand in the sidelines. She has many hair ties, so people call her rabbit which irritates her, although Ragna seems to get away with calling her rabbit, idiot, and 'bunny-leech' in the second game. The only concern whom she seems to show towards is Ragna. It is also further insinuated that Rachel deeply cares for Ragna as its shown during Ragna's bad ending. Interestingly enough, in some later interactions it is revealed that she is possibly the most powerful of the playable characters, and as such the only one capable of taking on Terumi. In battle she has mastered sorcery and has the ability to control lightning and wind. Rachel is a stereotypical aristocratic heiress. She has an almost enchanting air of dignity and grace, yet is sarcastic and condescending to those she considers lower than her, always expecting them to have the highest standards of formality when conversing with her. Despite this, she does care deeply for her allies. Her butler, Valkenhayn, is fervently devoted to Rachel, as he was a loyal friend and respected rival to her father, the late Clavis Alucard. Rachel's familiars, Nago and Gii, despite taking punishment from her on a regular basis, remain loyal to her. Perhaps her most intriguing relationship is with Ragna. Although Rachel would never admit to it, she loves Ragna for his determination and unwillingness to give up even when the odds are against him.

Alias: Hero of Ikaruga Race: Human Birthday: February 14 Birthplace: England Height: 178 cm Weight: 61 kg Blood type: A Hobbies: Collecting vintage motorcycles Values: Nothing Likes: Being left alone Dislikes: Weaklings, meat dishes Jin Kisaragi is a Major in the NOL, and one of its elite commanding officers. He is always cool and calm, but is also jealous, ambitious, and possessive, with little care for others, treating them like they are mere obstacles. He displayed formidable actions to gain his rank during the Ikaruga Civil War. When he heard that Ragna the Bloodedge had arrived on the scene, he quickly abandoned his post to hunt him down by himself. He was adopted into the Kisaragi house, a highly powerful and respected family within the NOL. He possesses a notable psychosis, said to be caused by his sword, the Nox Nyctores "Yukianesa." While the sword grants him manipulation over ice, it also enhances primal feelings and is often blamed for "insanity."

Race: Artificial human Birthday: December 31 Birthplace: 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi, Area No. 0 Height: 155 cm Weight: 45 kg Hobbies: thinking about Ragna Values: Ragna Likes: Ragna Dislikes: everything else She was programmed to terminate anyone she deems as hostile subjects that came near the Gate. Nu-13 is also shown to have a split personality, split between an emotionless girl when around others, and a yandere when around Ragna the Bloodedge, though this may be how she was programmed to act. Nu-13 wants to absorb Ragna and have him join her in destroying the world, because she, too, possesses a piece of the Azure Grimoire (although neither she nor Ragna realized the pieces they possess were actually imitations). When Ragna refuses to join her, she decides to take him by force. She also knows Hakumen, recognizing him as a "Sankishin Unit". In Continuum Shift, Nu appears in the omake endings in her yandere personality with her body still intact, albeit toned down and changed to that of a preppy fan girl devoted to Ragna.

Race: Artificial human Height: 155 cm Weight: 45 kg Lambda is an imitation Murakumo Unit created and controlled by Kokonoe by combining the body of the 11th experimental replica of Saya with the soul of Nu-13, recovered after falling into the Gates of Sheol during the conclusion of Calamity Trigger's Story Mode. Kokonoe completely erased her memory, and as a result, Lambda-11 is only interested in carrying out Kokonoe's orders.

Race: Unknown, Human (formerly) Gender: Male Height: 20~200cm Weight: 5~1000kg Hair: None, Red (formerly) Values: Knowledge Likes: Information Dislikes: Ignorance A black blob-like creature with a white mask who formerly worked alongside Kokonoe, Tager and Litchi in Sector Seven. He is formerly a human named "Lotte Carmine". After an attempt to study the Boundary, due to his inferiority complex over Kokonoe's genius, he became what he is today, now housing innumerable insects with his now-blobby body and thriving on knowledge. His horrible condition has rendered him virtually insane and lacking any reliable memory, as well as distorting his speech to near incoherency - most of his dialogue consists of gibberish, insane laughter and tortured screaming. (But it seems that only Litchi understands his words.) His dialogue between many characters, as well as his Arcade Mode ending, suggest that it was the power and knowledge he obtained from the Boundary that gradually turned him into what he is, and notably (according to his Arcade Mode ending) he doesn't seem to have noticed that he's changed, and to him, his bizarre speech is completely normal. He seems to not understand why others can't understand him, creating a crude mask for himself thinking it would allow others to understand what he's saying. During Calamity Trigger, he lives in the sewers of Kagutsuchi where the seithr concentration is highest and will attack anyone who visits there. He has also been known to attack and devour his victims to sustain himself, specifically targeting the Kaka clan, the closest living creatures. He thirsts for power and knowledge above all else and considers the Azure Grimoire the pinnacle of such. Anytime he meets Ragna he becomes obsessive in his desire to consume the Azure, often only saying "AzureAzureAzureAzure" when around Ragna. In Continuum Shift, Arakune continues to look for the Azure Grimoire. He is also shown to be capable of speaking like a normal human, although temporarily before slipping away to insanity once more. During his instance of sanity, he told Litchi to cease her attempts to cure him using the same power that drove him mad and instead turn herself to Kokonoe for healing; there is a fine line that she shouldn't cross or she could end up like him. An encounter with Terumi later reveals that Arakune was used as an experiment to create the Black Beast, but he ends up as a failure as the only thing he knew is how to consume others. He seems to remember Relius Clover and has a deep hatred for him. Their initial encounter is revealed in Continuum Shift II's 2nd Extra Story - "That Which is Inherited." Unfortunately, during one of his encounters with Relius, he is struck down and subdued with Relius' own marionette, Ignis, taking him into his custody. Terumi later uses the information of his captivity to eventually push Litchi to join the NOL.
