About this title
Synopsis
Supernatural phenomena and strange occurrences are no sweat for the Nanami Paranormal Investigation agency, headed by Asagi Nanami. As "freak" activity grows to a terrifying fever pitch, Asagi's assistants—Naoki, Tokiko, and Mahime—help to solve several major "freak" cases. Freaks are creatures with the ability to possess humans and prey on their weaknesses. However, Asagi and his gang are no ordinary humans; each is equipped with a special power to vanquish Freaks. Publication notes
The first three volumes of Category:Freaks were published in English by Dr. Master Productions from July 1, 2005, to January 1, 2007, before the company became defunct. It has been licensed in Brazilian Portuguese by NewPOP Editora.

He appearance deceives anyone whom he encounters with, for in actuality he is much older than his young appearance presents. At the moment of "battle" per se, he unleashes Izumi that comes in the form of an eyeball protruding from his stomach. This "Ancient" - as Izumi is often called - controls Asagi's powers in order to keep him under control and to avoid a massacre that may come forth in a battle. Tokiko1 fan favoritesExternal profileTokiko comes in the form of a "bunny girl". Her abilities include transforming from bunny to chibi-type girl at irregular intervals in time. Although she is often silent, her strong sense of smell and hunger for devouring freaks is her specialties that have earned her a spot on the team. Once the freaks are defeated in an attack, that is Tokiko's cue to feast on them until the scene is nice and clean once again. No voice actors have been added to this character. He is often depicted as a character who is easily pushed around without compensation. Furthermore, he tends to be gullible towards disguises and tends to become uneasy with any homosexual concepts that come his way. Naoki was first acquainted with Asagi in his days of being an adolescent school student. Together they successfully solved the mystery of the ghost of a suicidal female student who haunted the halls of the school. Were Naoki to not be involved with solving the mystery with a disguised Asagi at the time, he would've lived a normal human life ever since. No voice actors have been added to this character. Mahime is a cute yet naive young lady who works in the office. She tends to be shy and reserved in almost everyone situation she finds herself captured within.
