Synopsis

When Saku took in a stray black cat, she never expected that he would become the equivalent of a housekeeping life partner. But Yukichi, a giant cat who towers over Saku, is not your ordinary feline. He takes great pride in his culinary skills, and a good sale at the supermarket always gets his whiskers twitching. Saku may not have her act together yet, but at least she has Yukichi! Dekiru Neko wa Kyou mo Yuuutsu began as a web comic on the challenge section of comico on October 31, 2017. Official serialization began on Suiyoubi no Sirius on August 22, 2018. The series has been published in English as The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today by Seven Seas Entertainment since September 28, 2021. The manga has also been simulpub through K Manga.

Yukichi is the main protagonist of the The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today series. He's a big as a human black cat who lives with Saku in her apartment. Extraordinarily intelligent, he is able to walk on two legs and use any kind of tool or appliance. He also has a great memory capacity and can learn new things easily. He is very skilled especially at cooking, a skill of which he is very proud. He takes care of the house while his mistress is at work, as well as taking care of meals and household chores. Although he claims to have bonded with Saku only to not starve it's quite obvious that over time he has grown fond of her, worrying about her health and supporting her in her daily problems.
