Synopsis

Nicaea, a dead face delivery website, reveals to its users a video of their friends' deaths. Most people sign up on the site for trivial reasons, including Io Nitta, Daichi Shijima, and Hiro Kageyama. As they return home from a mock entrance exam, the three students receive a message simultaneously from Nicaea, depicting their gruesome fate in the subway station. Despite being shaken by the email's contents, the trio disregards it until a subsequent earthquake and train derailment causes the premonition to come true. Swallowed by darkness, Io is posed with a simple question: does she want to die, or would she rather live? Presenting a will to live, Io wakes up in the rubble alongside Hiro, Daichi, and mysterious entities who ask the three of them to "manage" them properly. Soon, they find themselves in the custody of JP's—a mysterious defense force that only operates during a national state of emergency. After making contact with the otherworldly beings that attacked them earlier, the three students learn that they are now "devil summoners." The Earth is under attack by "Septentriones," strange creatures hellbent on destroying humanity. With their fates now intertwined, Io, Daichi, and Hiro must work together to protect what remains of their planet before being completely obliterated. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Hair Color: White Eye Color: White Height: 170 cm The Anguished One is a major character that appears in Devil Survivor 2. The Anguished One has curly white hair and a very pale complexion. He is always squinting, giving him a sleepy appearance and white make-up/eyelashes around his eyes. He wears a red and black striped shirt with a frilled undershirt, having a design similar to the ship possessed by Alioth, along with matching shoes and black pants. In Devil Survivor 2 The Animation character model, his shoes' pattern is different from original design. While in original design his shoes has the same pattern as his cloth, in anime character model the shoes are coloured half-black and half-red with the half-black part located nearer to middle side of his body. He has a strange fascination with people. Although he has a very sinister appearance, and his motives can come across as evil, he is actually a very kind person. The Anguished One is very fond of the protagonist to the point where he takes everything he says seriously, even if it is obvious to other people that the protagonist is joking. When things turn for the worse, Daichi’s cheerful personality supports Hibiki. Daichi is a deep thinker, often examining the social implications and morality of a situation farther than the other characters. Even though he seems spineless, he tends to cast away his cowardice in the blink of an eye when he is faced with extreme adversity. Unfortunately, his low self confidence limits him achieving even greater heights. He seems to do poorly in school, and to be forgetful at times; Forgetting his exam slip and cell phone at his seat at the beginning of the game.
