Synopsis
Deep within Japan's remote regions is the mansion of Dr. Naomitsu Madaraki, a surgeon notorious for his gruesome work. While he is away from home, his artificial daughter Fran takes over the mansion and his grisly surgical practice. With the aid of her violent younger sister Veronica, the human-cat hybrid Okita, and Dr. Madaraki's other macabre creations, Fran deals with the unusual requests of her clients. From tumor removal to reviving the dead, no two jobs are alike, but no job is too difficult—or too dangerous—for the successor to Dr. Madaraki. Fran Madaraki539 fan favoritesExternal profileThough Fran lives at the Madaraki estate, she is not blood related to Dr. Madaraki Naomitsu; instead she is his "masterpiece. She has obviously undergone several inhuman surgeries, being fitted with two giant Frankenstein-like electrodes at each side of her head and marked with stitches all over her body, as if she had been patched up. However, at first glance she looks like a regular girl. Sometimes she even dons a blazer and goes to school, though her unsteady step and a habit of drawing out the end of her sentences still stand out. She seems absent-minded and easy-going, which is true to a point. The real issue is that she is somewhat removed from humanity—Fran is often genuinely uncaring of any potential consequences of her actions, and seems to have absolutely no regard for traditional morality. Because of this she will take on any client from superheroes to mobsters; in a mercenarial take on her work, so long as she is paid she is happy to serve. She makes her client’s dreams come true—and very often their nightmares as well. The results of her work can be wondrous or terrifying, usually both. Even so, Fran carries on without a concern. During surgery she is able to increase the number of her arms and operate at great speeds. Her one creed is that she cannot ever take life; of course, her victims often wish she would kill them out of mercy. No voice actors have been added to this character. Veronica Madaraki64 fan favoritesExternal profileAssassin bioweapon created by Dr. Madaraki for his own protection. In addition to her naturally high combat ability, she is trained in the handling of explosives and the setting of traps in the field. A large, X-shaped stitch marks her face. Because she was created after Fran, Veronica calls her “elder sister”. She wields a huge guillotine blade in her right arm and a sharp sword in her left. She also has sharpened daggers sticking out of the pommel. She follows her own battle etiquette: “To murder while causing as little suffering as possible”. In opposition to Fran, who believes that “regardless of the shape or form, if it can function as a living organism it is good”, Veronica supports the notion of “rather a painless death than a painful life”. She is the antithetical existence to Fran. She seems to be very protective of Fran, and will not hesitate to eliminate anything that threatens her, although Fran stops her most of the time because of her beliefs.
