Synopsis

Retired scientist Omori lives alone on a deserted island while continuing his research into time-travel. His quiet life in interrupted when galactic patrolman Jaco crash-lands and decides to move in with him. This agent from space claims to be elite, but sometimes it can a little hard to believe. Ginga Patrol Jaco was published in English as Jaco the Galactic Patrolman by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint on January 6, 2015. It was also published in Spanish by Planeta Cómic in March 2015, and in Polish by J.P.Fantastica in May 2018. A VOMIC version of the first two chapters was broadcast in Sakiyomi JanBang! program in January 2014.

An alien cop who came to Earth to stop a dangerous invader. Jaco is an alien resembling a robot with a mainly light blue head, save for his purple scalp. He has yellow eyes, and his nose and mouth are very human. His entire body is purple as well. According to Jaco, he is the 3rd shortest out of the 38 Galactic Patrolmen, at 148 cm (4' 10¼") Jaco is an alien who has a large amount of pride in his duties. He is also somewhat blank, as he was willing to use an Extinction Bomb to wipe out humanity just because Omori criticized them. He also views anyone who cannot live up to his expectations as inferior. However, this idea may be due to his extreme loyalty to his planet, so he will agree with their views on humanity. He also hates to be called short, as he nearly killed a civilian for it and also tends to get panicked quite easily. (Source: Dragonball Wikia)

An old man who becomes Jaco's first friend on Earth. He owns an island where his wife is buried and which served as his laboratory. His name literally means "a large serving" (of food) in Japanese, and his wife was named Īgo Ōmori (大盛飯子) according to the writtings on her gravestone.
