A female knight who served the Illdoren Kingdom as Commander of the Eastern Expeditionary Force, she is the eldest daughter of the noble Lavillant family. Skilled in combat, she can even fight multiple opponents at once, and hold her own against opponents with greater physical strength than her. She is 26 years old, and is yet to be married (she is past the typical age of marriage in this world). Her family attempted to arrange marriages for her, but she grew frustrated at the role she was expected to take as a married woman, and beat all of her would-be husbands in duels. Veor is a 18 year-old barbarian warrior also known as "Raisei," a nickname meaning "Thundering Voice" - the name of a powerful sonicboom-like attack that he can produce using his voice. He is heir to the barbarian settlement, and the son of Uldyn, "the One-Eyed." He meets Serafina in battle, during the war between the barbarians and the Kingdom of Illdoren. With golden eyes, vertical pupils and a powerful thunder-like roar, as well as his intimidatingly tall and broad figure, Veor has multiple beast-like aspects, resulting in Serafina initially declaring that he is "not human."
