Karate Baka Isekai began as a web novel on Kakuyomu on December 1, 2017, where it won a Special Prize in the Isekai Fantasy Division of the 3rd Kakuyomu Web Shousetsu Contest. Kadokawa has released a revised and illustrated version of the series since February 20, 2019 under its Fantasia Bunko label.
