Synopsis
Long ago, when Japanese gods descended upon humans, their mixed offspring inherited supernatural powers...and the name "Kuruizaki no Hana." Now, those of the Demon world are rising up to wipe out these offspring—led by the cool and confident assasin, Ushitora. He's worshipped as a deadly professional, but when he falls in love with one such gifted boy, Masato, everything changes. However, one day, after killing a "Kuruizaki no Hana" girl, he finds himself unable to kill her little brother. He decides to betray his people and live a life on the run in order to protect that boy, Masato. One day, he finds a little orphan girl, named Nao, crying on the street and takes her in. The three of them create a unique and unusual family. Ushitora and Masato have been living together for 11 years. Ushitora has been protecting and taking care of the two children all the time. He has been hiding his guilt and the truth about his identity and Masato's identity. In volume 2, it is revealed that Ushitora has been regularly donating a large amount of money to an orphanage for an unknown reason. <<Spoilers!!>> In volume 2 also, Ushitora confesses his love to Masato and the fact that he had killed his sister. The thing Ushitora seems to want most is salvation. Ushitora smokes and always wears black pants and shirt. He has an older brother, who he likes, and a father who he refers to as trash. Because of that, he has inherited supernatural powers like restoring glass, healing animals and moving things without touching them. Those from the demon world seek to kill these Kuruizaki no Hana to obtain their powers, but after the demons lead assassin, Ushitora, kills Masato's sister, he finds himself unable to kill young Masato. Instead, Ushitora decided to raise the child and betray his people. Masato respects Ushitora more than anyone else. So far, Masato has been living with Ushitora for 11 years. A young orphan girl joins their unusual family after Ushitora picks her off the street. Now the three of them live on the run. Masato is cheerful, energetic, and kind. The house gets quiet whenever he's depressed or not around. <<Spoilers!!>> In volume 2, Ushitora confesses his love to Masato. He also confesses killing Masato's sister. She's constantly in fear of loosing the two guys and returning to her former life in the orphanage. Nao is shy, kind, and sweet. She cares deeply for both Masato and Ushitora and wishes to stay with them forever. <Spoilers!!> In volume 2, she chose to stay imprisoned rather than escape so that she can stay with the two guys, even though she knew that possible death and torture awaits her.
