Naturally a cautious and thoughtful introvert, he has played the game since middle school and is a veteran with a near-encyclopaedic knowledge of the game, which is known for its depth and complexity. Although Shiroe is socially awkward and tends to be asocial, he does not actually dislike other people. Instead, he is fiercely independent and wary of others who approach him with ulterior motives. He is not above helping people who are really in need, and he appears to have a soft spot for beginners—for example for the twins Tohya and Minori. In addition, he can be quite protective of people he cares for, a trait that Nyanta used to tease him about.

Race: Human Class: Assassin Subclass: Tracker Before the Apocalypse, she played as a male character. Because of this, she didn't use voice chat to speak with other players. After drinking Shiroe's Appearance-changing potion, she adjusted her character to be closer to her real self. Because Shiroe gave her the potion, she feels it necessary to repay him as an assassin and reveres him as "my Lord."

Race: Werecat Class: Swashbuckler Subclass: Chef Shiroe has referred to him as Chief since before the Apocalypse. He saved Serara when she got caught in a pinch, and kept her safe till Shiroe came to take her back to her guild. His weapon of choice are two rapiers, which he can dual wield due to his class. The reason behind his choice in weapon is due to the fact that he considers himself to be a gentlemen and the rapiers to be a weapon suited for one. He is very skilled in one-on-one fights. He is also able to cook real food within the game due to his subclass.

Race: Human Class: Guardian Subclass: Border Patrol A friend of Shiroe who hasn't played Elder Tale for the past two years. The size of his character is 183 cm, which is the same as his real self. He refers to himself as an "open pervert," so he always speaks his mind when there's girls involved. Because of this, Akatsuki knees him in the face whenever he says something rude.
