Synopsis

Mutant Hanako tells the story of a young girl from Okinawa named Hanako. On the day the Americans invaded Okinawa, Hanako, who is in hiding with her sister Tsukiko, has a vision of the Emperor who tells her to join with Junichi and defeat the Americans from the Demon Kingdom. (Source: MU)

Publication notes

An excerpt of Mutant Hanako was published in English by VIZ Media in their underground manga anthology Secret Comics Japan on July 6, 2000. According to Secret Comics Japan, Makoto Aida first released the 60 page Mutant Hanako at one of his art exhibits, where only 300 copies were printed and available only to those who attended. It was later reprinted by ABC Shuppan in August 1999.
