Lizardon32 fan favoritesExternal profileCharizard is a draconic, bipedal Pokémon. It is primarily orange with a cream underside from the chest to the tip of its tail. It has a long neck, small blue eyes, slightly raised nostrils, and two horn-like structures protruding from the back of its rectangular head. Two fangs are visible in its upper jaw when its mouth is closed. Two large wings with blue-green undersides sprout from its back, and a horn-like appendage juts out from the top of the third joint of each wing. A single wing finger is visible through the center of each wing membrane. Charizard's arms are short and skinny compared to its robust belly, and each limb has three white claws. In Pokémon Red and Green Versions, Charizard is seemingly shown holding a fireball, implying that it's capable of manipulating its flames using its hands; this is seen in media where it uses Fire Punch. It has stocky legs with cream-colored soles on each of its plantigrade feet. The tip of its long, tapering tail burns with a sizable flame, which can intensify to a blue flame if Charizard is irritated. Charizard flies in search of powerful opponents to battle, and its fire will burn hotter as it gains experience. Its fiery breath can melt boulders and massive glaciers and has been known to cause forest fires accidentally. Though its fiery breath is hot, it never turns it on any opponent weaker than itself. In the Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver episode Charizard's Burning Ambitions (EP136), it is established that only a weak Charizard would show off its power. Its wings can carry it to an altitude of 4,600 feet (1,400 meters), but An Illustrated Book of POCKET MONSTERS notes that its droppings were found on Mt. Fuji, implying it could fly thrice as high. In the Pokémon the Series: The Beginning episode Charizard Chills (EP107), it was shown that Charizard is vulnerable to having its tail flame going out in the same way as Charmander, as Ash Ketchum warns his Charizard to not let its flame go out. However, the side story episode Those Darn Electabuzz! (HS15) showed that Charizard can swim underwater, with Pokémon Origins further showing that the flame on the tip of the tail can still keep burning underwater. Charizard typically inhabits mountains and valleys, such as the Charicific Valley in Johto. However, Charizard can also live in volcanoes, forming packs with other members of its family, including Charmander. In Pokémon Snap, it's shown that Charizard is fully capable of living inside lava within volcanic craters. In Pokémon Sleep, as well as media like the animated series, Charizard is known to sleep in an incredibly relaxed position, as it is very confident in its power. A Charizard sleeping flat on its back may be an indicator of that Charizard being especially strong. Even though Charizard originally couldn't learn the move Fly, Pokémon Trainers have been shown riding Charizard in official artwork dating back to the 1997 Carddass Trading Cards. Ash himself was shown riding his Charizard already in the second season of the original series of Pokémon the Series. Eventually, in Pokémon Yellow, Charizard became able to learn Fly and has since been frequently depicted as a Pokémon able to carry people on its back to fly them to distant areas. In Alola, Charizard is a Ride Pokémon called Charizard Glide, being used by the natives to fly around the region or make deliveries. Forms Charizard has three alternate forms: Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Gigantamax Charizard. Both of Charizard's Mega Evolutions feature a shorter snout, white, vertical slit pupils, and a bright underside reaching the lower jaw. Mega Charizard X As Mega Charizard X, its body and legs are more physically fit, though its arms remain thin. Its skin turns black with a sky-blue underside and soles. Two spikes with blue tips curve upward from the front and back of each shoulder, while the tips of its horns sharpen, turn blue, and curve slightly upward. Its brow and claws are larger, and its eyes are now red. It has two small, fin-like spikes under each horn and two more down its lower neck. The finger disappears from the wing membrane, and the lower edges are divided into large, rounded points. The third joint of each wing-arm is adorned with a claw-like spike. It breathes blue flames out the sides of its mouth, and the flame on its tail now burns blue consistently. The overwhelming power of Mega Evolution causes Mega Charizard X's body to turn black and its intense flames to become blue and burn hotter. Mega Charizard Y As Mega Charizard Y, it becomes sleeker in appearance but retains its normal coloration. It has three pointed horns on the back of its head, the middle of which is longer. Its snout has larger fangs and a ridge on the nose. Its neck is shorter, but its torso is thinner and longer. It features longer digitigrade feet. Its hands are less developed, with extremely shortened fingers that are no longer separated from each other. Small wings develop on its wrists, while the ones on its back become larger, lose the wing finger passing through their membrane and end up with ragged edges. The back of its tail has a large spike at the base and three smaller ones near the tip, which now burns with a longer flame. Mega Charizard Y has an incredible flying prowess that allows it to reach great heights in the sky. Its speed and maneuverability is greater than that of a jet fighter, and the source of its power is said to come from its bond with its Trainer. Gigantamax Charizard As Gigantamax Charizard, it becomes larger and more physically fit. The lower part of its body glows white, with several yellow diamonds on the lower belly. There are also diamond-shaped spots located on the front legs. The claws located on its hands and feet become longer and sharper. The feet become longer and digitigrade, retaining small glowing soles under the forefeet. The sclerae of the eyes become yellow. The glow of a flame can be seen in the mouth, and the teeth grow, with the lower front teeth and three teeth in the middle now protruding when the mouth is closed. The flame on the tail extends out and has three red clouds surrounding it, like the clouds most other Gigantamax Pokémon have. Two flames sprout from its horns, and its wings are transformed into literal flame wings extending to the shoulder blade. Due to being enhanced by Gigantamax energy, the fire within Charizard's body has become much stronger, burning hotter than 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit (2,000 degrees Celsius) and continuing to rise in temperature when Gigantamax Charizard roars. When using its signature G-Max Move, G-Max Wildfire, it launches its colossal fiery wings in the shape of a bird, which circles opponents while continuously scorching them with flames even hotter than magma. Evolution Charizard evolves from and is the final form of . (Source: Bulbapedia)
Gaburiasu8 fan favoritesExternal profileGarchomp is a bipedal, draconian Pokémon that is primarily dark blue in color. It has red on its underbelly from the lower jaw to the middle of the abdomen, including the undersides of its arms. A patch of gold comes to a point below the red on its belly, and a golden star shape adorns the tip of its snout. Garchomp has horn-like appendages that resemble a jet or plane's engines, giving it an appearance similar to a hammerhead shark. These horns allow it to sense its prey from a long distance. Its large mouth features razor-sharp teeth. The feet have three white talons, and each arm has a single large, white claw for a hand. Curved fins sprout from the arms, creating wings that allow Garchomp to fly. Garchomp also has a large dorsal fin and another on its tail that resembles a shark tailfin. The male's dorsal fin has a notch on it. Pairs of small, white spikes protrude from its upper arms and legs, and there are gill-like slits on the sides of the neck. The eyes are intense, with black sclerae and gold-colored irises. Garchomp can fly at incredible speeds to catch its prey, and is capable of flying as fast as a jet. During flight, its wings generate blades of wind capable of cutting down trees. It is able to move at high speed in both the air and underground. It preys on bird Pokémon and is known to eat entire flocks of them whole. It sometimes battles Salamence in the air as they compete for food. Garchomp will never allow its prey to escape once it finds them. After catching prey, it returns to its den before its body can cool down. The fine scales on its body reduce drag for easier flight, and their sharp edges also serve to injure opponents who attack it directly. It can use its protuberances as sensors for finding distinct prey. Garchomp lives in volcanic and boreal mountain ranges, and typically dwells underground. However, it is seldom sighted in the wild. Garchomp is described as having a feral nature, requiring extreme caution if encountered. Forms Garchomp can Mega Evolve into Mega Garchomp or Mega Garchomp Z. Mega Garchomp When Garchomp Mega Evolves, several of its features become more angular, including its head and shoulders. A row of five tooth-like spikes sprouts from each side of its abdomen and red spikes grow from its knees. Its dorsal fin always has a notch on it, regardless of gender. The claws and fins on its arms melt from the excessive Mega Evolution energy and morph together to form sharp, red blades. The increased energy of Mega Evolution turns Mega Garchomp's arms into scythe-like blades. Because it takes great pride in its winglike fins, it is enraged at the sight of them melting into scythes. As a result, it is much more violent after Mega Evolving. Mega Garchomp's scythes can slice the ground to pieces, and it viciously tears up its opponents with them. While mostly seen grounded, it retains its ability to fly. Mega Garchomp Z Mega Garchomp Z resembles a regular Garchomp but gains a distinct purple, jet-like appearance. Its horn-like appendages feature a blood orange circle at the center, with jet-wing style fins on each side. It loses all its spikes except for one on each upper leg. The three talons are a dark purple color. There are dark yellow lines above each foot and in front of the shark-like tail fin, whose upper fin is longer, while the tail fin's end is white. Its dorsal fin does not have a notch on it, regardless of gender. The chest is also blood orange, with several V-shaped, continuous lines beneath the chest color in dark yellow, blood orange, and dark purple. The wing-like fins have become longer, with blood orange at the bottom and five tooth-like spikes at the front of each fin. Mega Garchomp Z is said to maintain a calm and composed personality. Unlike its base form and Mega Garchomp, it constantly hovers above the ground, looking down on its opponents from the air with a sharp gaze. This is a result of its Dragon-type energy having grown more powerful, which also causes its Dragon-type moves to become stronger and gain more agility and momentum when they're used during flight. The wings on its arms have expanded, enabling greater lift. These wings are lined with large, sharp, and sinister claws that rend opponents even more aggressively than the scythe-shaped wings of Mega Garchomp, capable of shredding targets with a gouging motion as it flies at Mach speed. Additionally, there are small wings on both sides of its head that enhance its flight performance. Mega Garchomp Z is characterized by a fighting style that maximizes its speed, surpassing any Mega Garchomp discovered so far. Evolution Garchomp evolves from Gabite and is the final form of Gible.
