Synopsis
As a little boy, Si Mun, the grandson of a famous shaman, had the ability to see - and communicate with—ghosts. His grandmother gave him a talisman which temporarily rid him of this ability and erased his memories of any supernatural phenomena he had witnessed. Years later, Si Mun is working a hectic, yet ordinary, job as a homicide detective in the Korean police force. His grandmother has since passed on—and the powers she sealed away appear to be reawakening...

Si Mun Lee1 fan favoritesExternal profileSi Mun Lee is the main protagonist of SID, and an exorcist currently working with Tenka Hennigquald, Baram Kang, and Sophia Kang in the Supernatural Investigation Department of the FBI. When Si Mun was a boy, his grandmother was a famous shaman. She gave him a pouch that he was only to open if he began seeing spirits again. After meeting Tenka, the two engaged in a fight with Ga Yeun Chae's spirit, and Si Mun opened the pouch, that gave him supernatural abilities to protect himself and fend off spirits. He soon met Baram Kang, and the three together joined Sophia's new Supernatural Investigation Department in order to prevent the new Somos478 cases from happening. His default demeanor is rather serious. This rings true for both his professional and personal lives, which admittedly overlap. He is respectful to his coworkers and his superiors, but is also willing to push boundaries and ask the hard questions if needed. Baram Kang0 fan favoritesExternal profileLittle is known about Baram's background besides the fact that his father is a shaman. Though he and Sophia share the same surname, he clams not to know her. For a preteen, Baram seems unusually mature. although, he is not above making fun of his comrades, calling Si Mun and Tenka "old geezers." He seems to respect Sophia enough to call her "nuna" but calls Tenka "ahjusshi," an honorific indicating someone of much greater age. His age and height are something of sore spots. Perhaps because of his familial background, Baram tends to speak with an heir of confidence and wisdom, a trait that Si Mun sought out to help explain his own misunderstandings about spirits and exorcists. Baram has the ability to read the imprints souls leave on their surroundings. This includes their memories, but often, one memory (usually the spirit's death) is more prevalent than the others. Because so many souls occupy a place at a time, it can often take a significant amount of time to sift through the information, but it is a skill that he has mastered.
