Synopsis
The St. Mikhailov Academy student Oribe Mafuyu comes across a mysterious silver haired boy. He is called a Qwaser, a being that draws power from Soma and is able to manipulate a specific element. And now, in the 21st century, the mystery revolving around an Icon turns the academy into the battlegrounds for the fight between the Qwaser! (Source: MU)

Seikon no Qwaser had two volumes published in English as The Qwaser of Stigmata by Tokyopop from August 10, 2010 to March 1, 2011 before the publisher went defunct. It has been published in Italian by J-POP since October 12, 2007.

He was held captive and trained with the other Qwasers into harnessing his powers, and survived the brutal ordeal thanks to the affection received from an older girl named Olja, and whose murder by the Qwaser of Gold he witnessed. He received a large scar on the left side of his face from the same Qwaser. The scar is shaped like an Eastern Cross, and tends to bleed heavily when he draws upon his powers. Sasha appeared out of nowhere on the grounds of St. Mihailov, and was quickly accepted into the school as a student of class 1-A, the same that Mafuyu Oribe and Tomo Yamanobe attend. He became Tomo's protector because of her resemblance to Olja. Silver-haired with blue eyes, Alexander, or Sasha for short (though he allows only those close to him to call him by this nickname) is usually extremely cold, harsh, and serious, although his weakness for borscht, his favorite dish, can soften him. He slowly changed and warmed to those around him, especially Mafuyu, though he remains extremely fierce when fighting other Qwasers. While she is presented as extremely shy and child-like, befitting her age (she has a habit of addressing herself in third person in these instances), her true colors depicts her as a domineering, arrogant, prideful and almost malicious queen, all maintaining a facade of childish innocence. She is a powerful Qwaser who wields the element of copper, which usually makes her gain control and manipulate electrical wires and redirect their flow to electrocute and incinerate her foes. She does not fight herself due to her frailty as a little girl, and this is why she is always guarded by a grim, archaic gynoid dressed in regal attire named Anastasia, which Ekaterina calls mother for reason currently unknown. She currently attends at St. Mihailov's primary school, being the subject of admiration and love of her classmates and teachers thanks to her doll-like features, and has Hana serve as her slave and replenish her of Soma. Recently, it has been revealed that she shares heavy connections with the Imperial Family of late Tsar Nicholas II, and it is heavily hinted that she herself is the same Tsarina Alexandra that served as Nicholas' consort, though this is has not been proven, and suggested by Ekaterina herself (although this would also explain why her guardian gynoid is named Anastasia). Ekaterina's nickname is Katja. Ekaterina is a very young Russian girl, has a gothic Lolita look to her, as she has very small breasts. She is usually seen wearing a black maids outfit, having her hair tied in very long pig tails, which are held together by black tape, as well as long hair, covering all of her forehead, and her ears as well. Upbeat and cheerful, she is so proficient in kendo that she carries a wooden sword with her all the time. She has to endure hardship on a daily basis in form of her classmates picking harshly on her and especially Tomo. This changes when she encounters Sasha for the first time, where she starts living with him and, little by little, is pitted herself in the fights between Qwasers. Though at odds with Sasha's coldness, Mafuyu has started to open up to him and the two have formed a stronger bond. Mafuyu is an average girl with shoulder-length maroon hair and purple eyes. She is always seen wearing her school uniform and holding her kendo sword, but she changes her outfits naturally. She is often made fun of by Sasha for having small breasts, one of the smallest in the series along with Hana Katsuragi, Ekaterina Kurae and Fumika Mitarai being the only ones smaller than her. Tomo has shoulder-length dark blue hair and crimson red eyes. She has a large bust size that is no bigger than Urara Oikawa and Tomo is also physically weak. Tomo is the spitting image of Sasha's original protector, Olja, which explains why he took so willingly the role of Tomo's guardian, much to Mafuyu's chagrin. Tomo is the exact opposite of Mafuyu Oribe, both physically and mentally: Tomo is very childish and naive, yet she is very sweet-natured and soft-spoken with a heart of gold, preferring peace over conflict, even when that gets her into trouble. This is explained when her past is revealed: as a child she was part of a Serbian Orthodox convent in Krajina, during the Yugoslav Wars, a jovial and hyperactive girl until the day a group of Croatian militiamen, led by "Gas Chamber" Croa, assaulted the convent and pillaged it, slaughtering and raping its occupants in a bloody carnage. The sole survivor, Teresa assisted at the whole massacre from inside a closet, and when found, she was so shocked that her emotions were locked away by the trauma. Only when Sasha gave her his support and they both avenged the slaughter by killing Croa, did she manage to smile for the first time in years. Teresa used to offer her Soma to Sasha, but since Ootori's death she partners with Lizzy. While an ordinary human, Teresa is well-versed in combat, using a bow for long-range attacks or fighting bare-handed, using blades concealed in her gown. A running gag involves two curious flocks of hair that she has on her head, which look and behave like a puppy's ears, flipping when she is happy or excited, dropping loose when she is embarrassed, and so on. Teresa is a pale-skinned and flawless girl with chin-length light blond hair that covers her ears and light green eyes. She also has the appearance of a nun as she is usually seen only wearing a nun gown. Teresa has a very stoic personality as her expression doesn't change very often, although she is shown to be a very kind and caring girl toward her comrades as she was willingly get to captured just for the sake of her friends.
