Main characters
Fernandia Malvezzi3 fan favoritesExternal profileFernandia Malvezzi is based on Italian pilot Fernando Malvezzi. Graduate of a military academy for witches in Romagna. With a small degree of skill in healing magic, Fernandia was assigned to the magic medical corps, but she actually had a strong desire for a combat role. She snuck herself into a ground attack witch unit, one of the understrength sections of the Aeronautica Romagniana (Romagnan Air Force). After studying tactics with a Karlslander dive-bomber squadron, Fernandia, together with her best friends Luciana and Martina from the academy, flew many missions, even recording a destroyed heavy land Neuroi to their name. In recognition of the team's fame and overwhelmingly positive evaluations, all three were given the honor of being admitted into the Pantaloni Rossi (Red Pants). Not long after, Fernandia's unit was equipped with MC.202 Strikers. Her experience with those enlightened her towards air combat, and ever since '44 she has been using the G-55. Even though Fernandia can be extremely self-assured, headstrong, and impulsive, she also displays an undeniable friendliness, and she is a natural leader with the power to get others to do things her way. Within the team, she takes the role of commander and also vanguard. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

A coworker of Sakamoto, the two are on a first-name basis. Because of the location of the base Takei was deployed to, and her behavior while there, she is also often called "the Lady of Reval". Although she will defer to Sakamoto in matters regarding personal combat ability, Takei is well-respected for her command and logistic skills, so much so that even Sakamoto would listen to her advice on the battlefield. After her European deployment ended, she returned to Fuso to train new recruits, and was later invited to the 504th Joint Fighter Wing. As an instructor, Takei stresses group cooperation and raising the overall standard of all her charges as most important, in contrast to the one-on-one spartan training offered by Sakamoto. The comic in which Takei primarily appears is a parallel setting to the anime, with differences in certain areas such as the way Miyafuji is recruited.

Luciana Mazzei0 fan favoritesExternal profileQuiet and reserved, Luciana has a gentle personality which lies at odds to her all-round athleticism, particularly her talent in marksmanship. Luciana herself was interested in developing equipment and clothing specifically for witches, but after Fernandia set her sights on Luciana's skill at shooting, she was forcefully invited into a combat unit, where she has stayed without protest. Luciana is a theorist with an inquiring mind. Her hobby is sewing. In place of her bureaucracy-illiterate leader, she performs negotiations with and writes reports for the brass, in effect taking up the post of adjutant for the team. In charge of sniping, support.
Martina Crespi0 fan favoritesExternal profileMartina Crespi is the daughter of a wealthy family from southern Romagna. She is a bright and sociable girl but far too perky for a lady from a prominent family, which causes no end of headaches for her parents. To top it off, her speech and behavior is almost like that of a young boy. Because of training in classical ballet, she posseses a very flexible body and a keen sense of movement. Her favored tactic consists of extremely close range dogfighting with the enemy Neuroi. There was even an unusual case in her record, in which she used her striker to "kick out" the core from a Neuroi. A downside of her tactics is that she can sometimes be too fixated on what's happening in front of her, and losing sight of the bigger picture. She has a somewhat love-hate relationship with Fernandia Malvezzi, and is attached to Luciana Mazzei. She specializes in hit-and-run tactics within her team. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

Patricia Schade0 fan favoritesExternal profileBirthdate: 15 July 1927 Height: 160 cm Weapon: M1919A6 Striker Unit: Ultramarine Spitfire Familiar: white housecat A witch from Britannia and a member of the 504th Joint Fighter Wing. Her mother is a witch and her father is a trader. She traveled around in countries belonging to the Britannian Commonwealth when she was small together with her grandfather and father, something that helped broadening her mind and gave her a cheerful, sociable, and for her age, calm and composed personality. Her father went to college together with Lynette's father, and they competed with each other in sports as well as academics. Her family was friendly with the Bishops during her early years, but it seems like Lynette does not remember much of it. Patricia's father sometimes tries to stir up a feeling of rivalry between the two families, but Patricia herself doesn't really seem to care. She is also quite unimpressed with how her father sometimes dotes on her too much. She favors a fighting style with focus on support, since it means all her allies will work together, but this has also lead to her own aerial victory score not really increasing in a way that was expected of her. However, she distinguished herself greatly in the battles around the Mediterranean Sea, particularly Malta, earning her an invitation to the 504th. She is a very gifted shield controller, being able to adjust and optimize the strength and size of her shield to the enemy's attacks. This exquisite magic control also means she can stay in the air for an extended period of time. Her ace archetype is Patrick Alfred "Paddy" Schade. Ángela Salas Larrazábal0 fan favoritesExternal profileBirthdate: 1 October 1926 Height: 161 cm Weapon: PzB39, Boys Anti-tank Rifle Mk.1 Striker Unit: Messerscharf Bf-109E-4, Farotto G-55S Strega Familiar: Andalusian horse A witch of the 504th Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Hispania. Born to a strict family of officials, her witch ability manifested at an early age. Since Hispania had no corps of flying witches, she learned to use her magic abilities to fly on her own. She then received training in flying striker units and aerial combat in Romagna, and entered service soon after the beginning of the war in Europe. She joined the volunteer División Azul of the Hispanian Air Force, fighting in Ostmark, Venezia, and the Mediterranean and later assuming command of the division's aerial squadron. After the division was disbanded following the defeat of the Neuroi over Gallia, she joined the 504th. She is taciturn, with a strong sense of responsibility, probably due the origins of her family, resulting in her taking many situations upon herself. Strict, pensive, and overly-serious, she is a woman of few words. However, she is weak against compliments such as 'cute' or 'pretty'. Her special magic ability enables her to fill her bullets with a lot of magic, making them explosive. Since they strike a good balance between consuming magic power and basic attack power, she prefers using anti-tank rifles. Due to her firepower, she is often used as a trump card against large Neuroi, but due to the nature of her special power and her personality, she can remain on the battlefield for too long during the battles, resulting in heavy injuries. Her fighter pilot archetype is Ángel Salas Larrazábal. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki) No voice actors have been added to this character.
