About this title

Synopsis

This is not history as we know it. The year is 1600. Ten years have passed since Oda Nobunaga unified the whole of Japan. When Nobunaga realizes he is nearing the end of his life, he announces that he will hand over the reins of power to whoever brings him the strongest warrior. He is an outwardly polite and discerning individual, though he has been seen to show notably visceral excitement in matters involving violence and fighting strength (such as when the Tenkaichi tournament was announced and when he met Honda Tadakatsu in person); the Buddhist monks Hozoin In'ei and Hozoin Inshun noted that beneath his serene persona was hidden a truly intense bloodlust.
