Synopsis
Life in the year 2020 in Tokyo is tough, as crime rates are high, and crimes against women rank second only to murders. To prevent their daughter from being exposed to these crimes, Tsukasa's parents raised her to be a male. Tsukasa aspires to be a policeman fighting against the yakuza, just like her parents. However, her parents died in the line of work, leaving behind Tsukasa and her 3 brothers to fend for themselves. Tsukasa must thus work as a bodyguard for her classmate, Ryuji, who happens to be the leader of the most powerful yakuza group in Tokyo, to pay off the family's debts. (Source: ANN, edited)

Tsukasa Kozuki157 fan favoritesExternal profileOut of all the Kozuki siblings, Tsukasa is the only girl; however, as a result of the increasing number of crimes against women, her parents decided to disguise and raise Tsukasa as a boy, and taught her how to fight and stand up for herself. She is very energetic and tends to act (or hit) before thinking, so oftentimes it's only thanks to her training and reflexes that she manages to get away from trouble. Her parents - both part of the law enforcement - instilled a great sense of justice in the Kozuki siblings, and the conflict between these morals and needing to survive is a constant source of misery after Tsukasa ends up having to ask Ryuuji for financial help. Ryuuji Shirogami59 fan favoritesExternal profileLeader of the yakuza group at the age of 14 due to his father's assasination, Ryuuji looks much older than he is (due to his height and almost constant lack of facial expression). Even though he didn't cry or show any signs of grief after his father's death, when Tsukasa claims she can identify the killer (who also happened to be her own parents' killer), he jumps on the opportunity. As it turns out, he already knows Tsukasa's secret (that she's really a girl), much to her surprise. He has also had quite an interest in her for a long time, without her knowledge, being envious of her easy smile and attractive aura. After seeing Tsukasa in girl's clothes for the first time (i.e. finally seeing her actually as a girl), Ryuuji decides to come up with a "debt" based on her brothers' food consumption in order to make her stay on as his bodyguard (to pay it off), which he constantly increases by charging for all the food Tsukasa eats, anything she breaks, any bill that relates to her at all, etc. - all of this simply to keep her by his side for as long as possible. In addition, he takes to flirting with her quite openly, even though she never seems to catch onto his motives (being rather dense in that area). No voice actors have been added to this character. Asago Sumon2 fan favoritesExternal profileIn the beginning of the story, Asago is introduced as Ryuji's fiancée, on the path of becoming Kuryugumi's seisai (literally translated as the good/right/holy wife). As a result of the engagement and being the daughter of the Silver Dragon Clan that ranks highest among Kuryugumi's subordinates, Asago is pressured by both her father and herself to be as perfect of a partner as possible, which takes a significant toll on her mental state and self esteem. Throughout most of the story, Asago is jealous that Ryuji spends most his time with Tsukasa and not her, and this hatred only deepens after she finds out Tsukasa is a girl. Asago is quick to show her temper and is reluctant to trust Tsukasa as she is a katagi (a child of a cop/ law abiding citizen). Like Ryuji, she is highly skilled at using a gun, sometimes double-wielding as well. She doesn't seem to truly trust anyone except Ryuji. No voice actors have been added to this character.
