Heidemarie W. Schnaufer is based on German pilot Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer. Her archetype's nickname was The Night Ghost of St. Trond, which is the reference for her story in the manga Kimi to Tsunagaru Sora. She is Karlsland's top night witch (Nachthexe). By the end of 1944, she was nearing a shot-down count of 100, all of which were scored in air combat at night. Together with a magic Radar Antenna, a tell-tale feature of a night witch, she has a special night vision ability which allows her to see clearly through the darkness by starlight. As a child, she had trouble controlling this night vision ability, and thus went through much of her life indoors in dimly lit conditions. At the age of 10, she was admitted into a witch training program, and as she learned to control her powers, her talent as a night witch blossomed. Soon, her night vision ability would no longer spontaneously activate, but the visual neurons which had already been damaged could not be healed even with magic, so she usually wears glasses with a strong prescription. As if in response to her lonely childhood, she has a strong desire to make friends with others her age, which is surprising, especially in a night witch. A currently serving night-fighter air infantryman in 1944. Once she reaches 100 victories, she will be promoted to Squadron Leader, becoming Karlsland's youngest combat air wing commander (Geschwaderkommodore). She also seems to have struck up a friendship with Sanya, and the two regularly contact each other while on night patrol. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

Birthdate: 10 October 1931 Height: 147 cm Striker Unit: Me 262 A-1a Weapons: MK 108, MG 42, MG 131 A witch originating in Karlsland. She joined the Karlsland Air Force at a young age. At only 13, years of age, she was chosen to be a member of the testing squadron Erprobungskommando 131 "Halb". Her squadron was assembled from accomplished and even elite veteran aces of the Karlsland Air Force, and given her age and relatively short military career, Lennartz's selection was something of an oddity. She is part of the evaluation squad currently performing tests on the new etherjet strikers. Overly serious and methodical, with a somewhat meddlesome personality, Lennartz even nags at the senior aces' personal lifestyle, and how they have to hold up their image as air infantry and be a role model for the entire military. Of course, she gets brushed off immediately afterwards, but she is adored by her fellow squadron members as a sort of squadron mascot, especially with the expression she puts on after being ignored. Lennartz looks up to Gertrud Barkhorn as a role model. Lennartz's kill count does not particularly stand out among Karlsland witches, but nearly 70% of her victories were made in a jet striker, and a large number of those victories were against large-scale Neuroi bombers. Thus, there are high expectations for her to become an ace of the new generation. Her fighter pilot archetype is Helmut Lennartz. As General of the Witch Corps (three-star general) of the Karlsland Air Force, she is the witch with the highest rank worldwide. Her familiar appears to be something of the cat-lineage, but its origins are unknown. When the conflict in Hispania that preceded the full-scale invasion of the Neuroi erupted, Adolfine participated on as a member of the Condor Legion sent from Karsland. Afterwards, she was sent to Fuso as an observing officer, but ended up participating in combat herself during the Fuso Sea Incident upon witnessing the fight between the flying-type Neurois and the new model Striker Units. After returning to her country, Adolfine put out an application for being transferred to the Air Forces. However having achieved countless military results in the ground attack ended up backfiring on her. Not giving up, she repeatedly requested a transfer, which eventually bore fruit with her transfer to the Jagdgeschwader 26 (JG26). After her promotion to Squadron Leader, she was appointed as commander of the JG26 fighter wing. She later established the Jagdverband 44 (JV44), the first test unit of Jet Strikers under her direct command. Even after leaving the front lines, she still adheres to a hands-on approach, doing things like performing test flights herself or sortieing regardless of the fact that she already unable to deploy her magic shield. She receives a deep trust from the Karlsland Emperor Frederick IV and as a result was rapidly promoted to three-star rank and given permission to freely organize units for the sake of the recapture of Karlsland. Nishizawa Yoshiko is a Witch from Fuso attached with the Fuso Imperial Navy. She is also known by the alias of "Demon of Libau" (リバウの魔王). Known for her peerless lively speech and conduct; but in air battles she demonstrates delicate, splendid air maneuvers, with the way how she takes a firing position being particularly artistic. This is to the point that Squadron Leader Sakamoto and Flight Lieutenant Takei, who later became the combat commanders of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing and 504th Joint Fighter Wing respectively, commented that "I'm no match for Nishizawa". Background As her mother was employed in a factory that developed and manufactured clothes for Witches, she had a friendship with the Witches that came in and out from there since she was a child. When her own Witch abilities manifested themselves, she chose the path of an air-battle Witch without hesitation. Upon becoming engrossed by an Army uniform that was waiting to be shipped, Yoshiko arbitrarily attempted to wear it, but was found by Pilot Officer Yokokawa, who worked as an instructor for the Navy. Yokokawa had expectations on Nishizawa's talents from the start. So, before the girl could be taken by the Army, she brought out a practice-use Striker Unit on her own judgment, performed a joint flight and enthusiastically invited her to enlist in the navy. Yoshiko's competency after enlisting in the Navy was top-class even among her contemporaries, getting her selected as a member of the Fuso Imperial Navy European Dispatch Fleet. At the time of her departure, she got to know Sakamoto and Takei, who would later be called the "Libau Triumvirate" along with her. With the end of her mission in Libau, there were arrangements for Yoshiko to return to the homeland as an instructor, but she firmly rejected them. Thanks to the advice of Sakamoto and Takei, who she had a longstanding fellowship with, that "Nishizawa becoming an instructor is totally reckless!", she decided to continue in Europe. Afterwards, she left behind the European Dispatch Fleet she belonged to and fought in numerous battles all across Europe. At the occasion when she dropped by the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing's base, Nishizawa had a mock-air battle with Pilot Officer Kanno, overpowering her. The two then formed a relationship where they would call each other "Kanno" (カンノ) and "Big Sis" (姉御, anego). Personality Yoshiko is someone who easily gets carried away, and so is absurdly strong once she gets cocky. On the other hand, because she is the type of genius that performs everything by intuition rather than theory, is poor at remembering people's faces and names and has an uninhibited personality that only wants to do what is fun, her suitability as a commander or instructor is practically non-existent. The only thing one could say to be her weak point is the sensitiveness of her stomach, which is fussy about the freshness of the food. However, she does not seem to mind if the taste is mediocre so long it is fresh. Frankly, her hobby is "to fly". (Source: World Witches Series Wiki) No voice actors have been added to this character.
