Synopsis

Shizumaru, melancholy and lost, wanders through the land in search of the demon he has no memory of. Panicked but skilled with his techniques in battle, he unintentionally kills many of his opponents. Not knowing what to do, Shizumaru travels again and repeats this ugly cycle with every new encounter. He is warned to stop his activities by Hanzo, lest the boy become a demon himself. Shizumaru Hisame is a character from the Samurai Shodown series. He debut as the main protagonist and one of the new characters in Samurai Shodown III, and continues to appear in other titles of the series. For a boy his age, Shizumaru is quiet and timid. He is a polite, well-meaning child who tries to warn others about the "demon/ogre" within him. He tends to label things that are unknown or bad to him as evil demons/ogres, convinced that they are real. Due to his subconscious belief of himself being a demon, others have started sensing a comparable malevolent aura in him, and even his own moves subtly hint at this, suggesting Shizumaru isn't just paranoid about it.
