Ramen Akaneko began as a web comic submitted to Jump Rookie on November 26, 2021, where it ranked first place in the serialization contest for November 2021 with a record of over 400,000 views in three days. The series was released as an indie serialization for 29 chapters from March 14, 2022, to October 3, 2022, and was promoted to an official serialization on October 10, 2022. The series has been simulpub digitally in English as Red Cat Ramen through MANGA Plus.
