Synopsis
In the world of Remnant, humans and Faunus—human-animal hybrids—carry on their everyday lives despite the omnipresent threat of monstrous Grimm. Dedicated Huntsmen and Huntresses battle Grimm with both customized weapons and their own Semblances, unique abilities derived from the energy of one's soul. Some warriors also utilize a crystallized energy propellant, Dust, to bestow their weapons with elemental properties. In this dangerous line of work, rigorous training is required to stay alive. To that end, each of Remnant's four Kingdoms have established schools to properly groom children holding aspirations of becoming licensed Huntsmen. At Beacon Academy in the Kingdom of Vale, a promising group of future Huntresses make their debut as Team RWBY. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long each come from different backgrounds and often butt heads as a result. However, when they cooperate, they are a formidable force who have even attracted the attention of Beacon's headmaster Professor Ozpin. Alongside fellow students such as those in Team JNPR, the young prodigy Ruby and her friends engage in adventures that pit them against an extremist Faunus group known as the White Fang. Publication notes
RWBY is based on the independent American 3D-CGI animated series by Rooster Teeth created by Monty Oum. The manga is a prequel to the original animated series and delves into the circumstances surrounding the four main character teasers. The series was simulpub digitally in English by VIZ Media as part of the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup, and published in print on January 16, 2018. It was also released in Spanish by Planeta Cómic on October 8, 2019.

Weiss' weapon of choice is a Multi Action Dust Rapier (MADR) named Myrtenaster. Weiss appears as a young girl, dressed primarily in light blue, white, and some red. She wears a pale blue bolero jacket over a similarly colored thigh-length dress with a piece of black lace making up the neckline of the dress. The inside of the bolero is red and the sleeves turn blue as they get closer to her wrists. The back of the bolero displays the Schnee Crest, which bears a resemblance to a snowflake. The same design seems to appear when she uses her Semblance. According to Weiss, her dress is a combat skirt, which Ruby Rose also wears. Weiss wears an apple-shaped necklace along with a pair of thin, rectangular earrings. She wears white, heeled wedge boots that go to mid-calf; the insides are also lined with red. Her long white hair is pulled back in an off-center ponytail, at the base of which is a small tiara that resembles icicles. She has a pale complexion and ice blue eyes. She is often one of the more cool and collected characters, although she's very passionate about taking action when she sees inequality or injustice occurring right in front of her. She believes strongly that everyone has the right to be treated as equals, regardless of if they're Faunus or not. She isn't afraid to speak her mind when someone is being treated unfairly or when she strongly disagrees with another persons point of view. Blake is also an introvert, spending much of her time alone reading, although as the series develops, she enjoys spending more and more time with her team. In combat Blake uses her own personal weapon Gambol Shroud which is a katana and bladed sheath that both act as effective melee weapons. The katana is also capable of transforming into a pistol when needed, giving Blake more versatility in combat.
