About this title

Synopsis

Uru is a very short girl and is constantly mistaken for an elementary school kid, but despite that, she is ridiculously strong and decides to live by herself after her mother gets remarried. She ends up working at a small cafe with two rather unique co-workers, Shindou, who acts gruff and intimidating, but who is really a nice guy who loves to make cakes and pies and the like, and Ichirou, who is really good-looking but who instantly falls asleep when he gets hungry and doesn't wake up again until he's force-fed something? Shiawase Kissa 3-choume was published in English by Tokyopop from December 29, 2009 to May 3, 2011, until the company went out of business with only eight volumes released. Two drama CD adaptations of the series were released on January, 25 and October 24, 2007, respectively.

Age: 18 Ichirou was the only waiter in Cafe Bonheur before Uru's arrival. He's always dozing off, and the only way to wake him up when he's fallen asleep is giving him food. He's repeating his third year in an advanced high school, allegedly because he fell asleep during too many of his classes the previous year. He's often referred to as a "weirdo" and he never seems to interested in anything that happens around. However, he seems to have great insights on everything. Age: 16 Uru is an energetic girl who's usually mistaken as an elementary school girl because of her short height and childish looks. However, she has superhuman strength and is probably stronger than most adult men. When her mother remarries, she decides to move out of the house to give the new couple space and starts to live alone and working in Cafe Bonheur. She soon wins over the unsociable baker Shindou and the indifferent waiter Ichirou with her cheerful and truly kind attitude. She always puts the others before her and she can be truly dense and naive, but she's a hard worker and is also very determined. No voice actors have been added to this character. Shindou is 20 years old and the baker of Cafe Bonheur. He often has a displeased look on his face and loses his temper easily, but he soon shows that he's actually very kind deep inside. He rarely smiles, and is quick to hit Uru or Ichirou when they're being silly, acting like a force of reason among all the madness. He was abandoned by his mother when he was a child, and was raised by the cafe's manager. He admires him a lot, and wants to be like him; that's why he enjoys making cakes. He's very talented at it and is always worried about providing a good service for his customers. Shindou is also really smart; he graduated from high school when he was 15. He's extremely serious and responsible, and is always taking care of Uru. No voice actors have been added to this character.
