Main characters
Juudai Yuuki1614 fan favoritesExternal profileJuudai is your regular Duelist, who loves to play the game. He's a member of the Slifer Red dorm and is usually called a Slifer Slacker. He wants to become the next "King Of Games" and is willing to duel anyone for the title. Juudai has the ability to see Duel Monster spirits. His spirit partner is Winged Kuribou. In the anime, Juudai received Winged Kuribou from Yugi Moto while in the manga he received it from Kouyou Hibiki. In the anime, Juudai first plays an "Elemental Hero" deck, then a "Neo-Spacian" deck but now he plays a deck combined with "Elemental Heroes" and "Neo-Spacians." His strategy is based on fusing monsters together. In the manga, he plays an "Elemental Hero" deck, however it differs from the deck in the anime.
Jun Manjoume374 fan favoritesExternal profileBirthday: August 1 Height: 1.67m Weight: 51 kg Judai's rival, Jun is always wanting to defeat Judai. He despises Judai and wants to take the place as "King Of Games." His family is very rich and he was able to win several championship matches before he went to Duel Academy. Like Judai, he can see the duel monster spirits. In the anime, his Duel Monster spirits are the Ojama Trio (Ojama Black, Ojama Yellow and Ojama Green) while in the manga his duel monster spirit is Light and Darkness dragon.
Ryou Marufuji255 fan favoritesExternal profileRyou is the best duelist in Duel Academy. Unlike his little brother (Shou Marufuji) he excels in all dueling forms. He often studies the dueling format with all duelists, and never underestimating his opponent. He uses some of the most powerful Machine Type monsters in the game. he was also undefeated in Duel Academy, hence the nickname "Kaiser." In the manga, Ryou is an exchange student to the U.S. who returns to Duel Academy with two attendants.
Asuka Tenjouin155 fan favoritesExternal profileYu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Asuka is the best female duelist in Duel Academy. She has a very keen eye for details and reads every one one of her opponents moves. She forces her opponents to play their best cards, making her victory much more satisfying. She is shown to have some sort of interest (and possible attraction) toward Judai. Being the smartest at the academy of all the girls, Asuka has many boys who find her attractive; however, Asuka's personality is more geared toward the game than love. In the anime, Asuka plays a "Cyber Girl" deck while in the manga she plays an "Ice" deck. Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Asuka in this series is an alternative version of the same character in GX. She is a former student of Duel Academy in Fusion Dimension who escaped from the island and co-founded You Show Duel School with Yusho Sakaki in Fusion Dimension.
Shou Marufuji42 fan favoritesExternal profileShou is a former Osiris, then Ra, and now Obelisk student as well as Juudai's best friend. A decent duelist, though hindered by a great deal of self doubt, Shou's journey toward strengthening himself provides sharp contrast to protagonist Juudai's active determination. Shou is often a "comic relief" character, partially due to him being very nervous a large portion of the time, in a sharp contrast to Juudai's optimistic nature. (Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia)
Tragoedia1 fan favoritesExternal profileTragoedia is the main antagonist of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga. During the time of Pharaoh Atem, Tragoedia was the ka of a criminal, and Winged Kuriboh was his opposite number, the ba. At the criminal's trial, he was convicted, and Tragoedia was sealed in a tablet and the tablet smashed. He awoke centuries later as a lingering poltergeist, and soon gained the American branch of Duel Academy under his control. Using his agents, in particular David Rabb and Reggie MacKenzie, he plans to acquire Duel Spirits and exact his revenge. (Source: Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia) No voice actors have been added to this character.
