About this title
Synopsis
Link is a boisterous boy who actively searches for adventure. To seek those thrills, he joins a pirate ship led by the tomboy captain, Tetra. While at sea, Tetra and her crew come across a dilapidated ship covered in a dark fog. Possibly rumored to be the feared Ghost Ship, Tetra jumps to the mysterious vessel, only to disappear. Link tries to run over to her aid, but he falls into the water and loses consciousness. Link awakens on the shores of Meruka Island to the cries of a fairy named Ciela, and he is taken to the fairy's grandfather, Oshus. Oshus tells the boy that a sailor named Linebeck might be able to help him find his missing friend. However, when Link and Ciela find Linebeck in the Temple of the Ocean King, they become suspicious of his intentions. Nevertheless, Link will need Linebeck's ship to travel across the seas and gather the Hourglass of Dreams' Sands of Time in order to save Tetra. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Main characters
Link1300 fan favoritesExternal profileLink, contrary to the title of the series The Legend of Zelda, is the main character and the main hero in the Zelda franchise games. Link is usually depicted wearing a green tunic with a green floppy hat. Throughout the many games released, there have been many Link's throughout the history of Hyrule that rose up to the challenge of saving the world from evil, mainly from the wrath of Ganondorf, the King of Thieves. However, in the stories of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, it is the same Link who we see. In addition to the hero of time, the Link in Wind Waker is the same one as featured in Phantom hourglass. Link is depicted as courageous, bold and although he is never seen to speak in the game, he shows no shyness in the manga as he is seen chatting quite a lot. From his speech, we can see that Link is also a curious person who once he has a goal in mind, will set out and achieve it at all costs. Our Hyrule savior, so far, has been the only one to wield the Master Sword, the evil-banishing sword. His swordsmanship is unparalleled throughout the land of Hyrule and he (usually) wields his weapons in his left hand.
Linebeck9 fan favoritesExternal profileA treasure hunter who travels the sea in search for treasures and valuable items. He is in a search of the Ghost Ship. When Link first meets him he seems unreliable. No voice actors have been added to this character. Help improve our database by searching for a voice actor, and adding this character to their roles .
Tetra5 fan favoritesExternal profileTetra is a girl pirate who, in The Wind Waker, helps Link start his journey. Her mother died a few years before the events of The Wind Waker, and she was left to lead the group of pirates. She is the one that Ganondorf intended the Helmaroc King to kidnap, instead of Aryll. She periodically helps Link out during his quest, and later her true identity is revealed in Hyrule Castle: she is Princess Zelda, the last heiress in the Hylian Royal Family bloodline. Before this, Tetra did not know she was Zelda, yet knew of Hyrule, the legend of the Hero of Time, and the Master Sword, and wore a large piece of the Triforce of Wisdom around her neck as a necklace that was from her mom. Ciela1 fan favoritesExternal profileShe first meets Link when he lands on Mercay Island and takes him to her "grandpa", Oshus. Eventually she and Link begin to travel together along with Linebeck, whom she doesn't like much and often fights with. After beating the Temple of Courage in Molida Island, however, instead of a colorful fairy, another white fairy much like Ciela appears. Link goes to Oshus, who also has traveled to Molida during that time, and uses his staff to fuse the new fairy and Ciela together, revealing that she is in fact the Spirit of Courage, and whose true color turns to be yellow. Prior to the game's beginning, Ciela had split herself in two to prevent Bellum from sealing her away like he had with the other spirits.
