About this title

Synopsis

On a stormy night, Princess Zelda and the shrine maidens fear that the reason for these events is that Vaati's seal is weakening. She summons Link and brings him to the castle so he can protect her and the other maidens while they open the portal to the Four Sword Sanctuary. When they do, however, a shadowy figure appears from the portal. This figure was Shadow Link, who then kidnapped the shrine maidens and sealed them in crystals. Link follows him to the sanctuary where he retrieves the Four Sword to destroy this doppelganger. The Four Sword is a magical sword that splits the wielder into four clones of himself. Vaati is once again released and wreaks havoc on the once peaceful kingdom.

Link, contrary to the title of the series The Legend of Zelda, is the main character and the main hero in the Zelda franchise games. Link is usually depicted wearing a green tunic with a green floppy hat. Throughout the many games released, there have been many Link's throughout the history of Hyrule that rose up to the challenge of saving the world from evil, mainly from the wrath of Ganondorf, the King of Thieves. However, in the stories of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, it is the same Link who we see. In addition to the hero of time, the Link in Wind Waker is the same one as featured in Phantom hourglass. Link is depicted as courageous, bold and although he is never seen to speak in the game, he shows no shyness in the manga as he is seen chatting quite a lot. From his speech, we can see that Link is also a curious person who once he has a goal in mind, will set out and achieve it at all costs. Our Hyrule savior, so far, has been the only one to wield the Master Sword, the evil-banishing sword. His swordsmanship is unparalleled throughout the land of Hyrule and he (usually) wields his weapons in his left hand.

Zelda, Princess of Hyrule, best known simply as Princess Zelda is a member of Hyrule's Royal Family and plays an integral role in the history of Hyrule. Though she is the titular character, the player takes control of the protagonist, Link. Usually, Zelda is in some way kidnapped or imprisoned by Ganondorf. In some games she appears as one of the sages or as a prophet. Similar to Link, Zelda has had multiple incarnations throughout the series. Generally close to Link in age, she is most often portrayed as a child, but she has been portrayed four times as an adult, in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Zelda is depicted as a kind and benevolent ruler. As the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda is wise beyond her years and intelligent enough to rule her people. She always wishes to do what is right for her people and is extremely self-sacrificing. Though she is not always capable of defending herself or her people on her own, she is willing to use any means necessary to aid her allies to achieve those ends, no matter the cost to herself. Zelda is portrayed as a young girl or beautiful young woman, usually with blonde hair, although in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, she is portrayed as more of a brunette. She also is portrayed with auburn or red hair in Zelda II, and light brown hair in A Link to the Past. She often wears a royal gown of white, pink or another pale color (red in Zelda II), usually bearing the Royal Family's crest, and jewelry such as ornate earrings. Associated with the Goddess Nayru and the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda possesses keen insight and good judgment—although this does not always aid her in avoiding capture. Most of Zelda's incarnations are also gifted with innate psychic or magical powers, such as telepathy and precognition, which most likely relate to her original incarnation as the goddess Hylia (Skyward Sword). Although her full range of abilities is yet to be revealed, Zelda can cast spells and create or annul barriers and seals. Zelda's alter egos appear to have specialized abilities of their own. In Twilight Princess, she wields a sword, though it is unknown if she truly possessed any fencing skills, however incarnations will often possess excellent archery skills. One of the 4 clones on The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus. Blue, out for the 4 links, is the most aggresive and wild. He rather be alone then to team up with the other links. He often yells and even hits Red because of his clingniess to him. He also complains that he's the leader and original of the links. (even when its painfully obvious it's Green.) Red is one of the four link clones in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus. He, out of the four, seems most childish and innocent. He seems to have a liking for Blue (the irony of it being that Blue doesn't seem to like him) and always clinging to his side. No voice actors have been added to this character.
