Raye is the main character of the "Sky Striker" story. She is based on the card "Sky Striker Ace - Raye" from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game and Trading Card Game. In the manga, following the total war between her home country Karma and its enemy the Spectra Union, she is the last survivor of the human race. As Spectra drones are about destroy the last town of Karma after centuries of battles between AIs, she decides to wield the Sky Striker technology to protect her home and her family, the androids who raised her. In the anime, she is a girl with extraordinary learning speed and Sky Striker aptitude who establishes herself as one of the few human soldiers in the conflict itself, which is fought almost entirely with drones. Roze is the deuteragonist of the "Sky Striker" story. She is based on the card "Sky Striker Ace - Roze" from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game and Trading Card game. In the manga, as Raye's Sky Striker equipment vastly outclasses AI in combat but can only be used by a human operator, Roze was genetically engineered by the robotic "Pillars of Spectra" sorely to go toe-to-toe with her by using the same technology. However, as she starts developing a personality of her own, the Pillars plot to replace her with her clones Azalea and Camellia; Roze initially reacts by competing with them and redoubling her efforts to kill Raye, but eventually ends up siding with her. In the anime, she is a normal girl raised like a weapon and used as one of the few human soldiers in the conflict itself, which is fought almost entirely with drones.
